Sophie decided to work on something more important than boy drama to be more productive towards finding and ending the Neverseen. They'd been quiet recently, but she was sure it wouldn't hold out. She practiced her telekinesis instead. Who knows, she thought, it might be useful some time in the future.
Sophie finished practicing right as she heard a knock on her door.
"Hey, Sophie," Edaline chimed, "Fitz is here to see you."
"Okay," She responded warily, "You can let him in." The worst case-scenario came to mind as he walked in her door. Why was he here? Was he mad at her? Would they ever be friends again?
Fitz reminded her of his presence with a question.
"Hey Sophie, my dad has to talk to you this weekend. Just thought I'd let you know. Can you come over on Saturday?" He asked casually.
Alden was a special kind of person to Sophie. He had delivered the worst and the best of news to her through visits in his aqurium-lined office. She wondered what kind of news it would be this time.
"Okay. Sure, I'll be over on Saturday."
"Okay..." He trailed off in thought. "Oh, did you do your telepathy homework yet? Maybe we could do it together?" He asked. The innocence of his question relieved her. She nodded.
"Yeah, we'll get it done way faster!"
Sophie and Fitz worked well together, especially at anything relating to telepathy. They had so much fun they lost track of time.
Fitz gasped. "Oh no, my dad is going to be furious. I was supposed to be home half an hour ago!" He panicked, whipping out his home crystal.
"Good luck with him," she said, "bye Fitz." He waved good-bye as he glittered away.
She sighed. Boys.
