"How was it?" Tzuyu and Ryujin inquired right away after Sana plopped down on her office chair. She just came from her one-on-one class with Ji-ah. Her gaze shifted to the two in front of her, they can't hide their confused faces as they waited for Sana to respond. They always do this each day asking for news on Ji-ah's improvement.

Sana laid down her arms on the top of the table and breathed out.

"It was good. I guess she enjoyed our class today. And she's getting better." She simply replied with a smile. Enough to tell them that the kid's getting good everyday.

"Wow, Sana. I can't believe this is really happening. After how many weeks of struggles in helping Ji-ah, you were finally able to help her." Ryujin smiled genuinely.

It's been a week since that day when Ji-ah gave Sana her first smile. It was that day when she finally responded to her.
It was her first time hearing the little girl's sweet voice as well. It sounded like an angel was talking to her.
Sana can't forget how Ji-ah thanked her for fixing her toy. She was sulking, thought that she will never have the toy again. It made the child smile knowing that her precious toy was fine. It was so special to her.

Who would have thought that a simple gesture can make the little girl smile? After all that they did in the past few weeks-talking to her, making an effort to be friends with her, and trying to earn her trust. Finally, she acknowledged Sana.

All she just wanted is to give back the toy in a good condition, cause Sana knew how important it is to her. She never had imagined she would be able to make her smile with her thoughtful gesture.

Sana's heart melted at the sight of the little girl's smile. Surely, she saw tons of cute smiles from her students but hers was different. It doesn't only melt her heart but that smile can also melt an iceberg. And Sana would do anything to see her smile.

'Why do I sound like a mom?' Sana laughed at herself. 'Oh, I'm just being a supportive teacher here.'

Sana had never felt this fulfilled in her entire career as a nursery teacher. For being in this profession for 4 years now, this is the only time she felt more than happy. She felt that she had done her real purpose as a teacher. Seeing Ji-ah improved each day, she never felt this proud of someone. Ji-ah's starting to communicate with her. Telling her whatever is in her mind.

Sana also discovered the child's interests. She likes to read storybooks. She also loves to paint. She loves bunnies, that explains why her toy is a stuffed bunny. Also, she's good at singing. Sana never thought Ji-ah is a very talented girl. Behind her shy personality hides a very gifted child.

For that reason, Sana promised to help Ji-ah gain her confidence and take away the fears the kid has. She wants Ji-ah to have confidence in herself. She wants her to believe in her ability. She wants her to grow to be the good person that she is despite not having a complete family. And that's her duty as Ji-ah's teacher.
