Sirius Black

"I messed up badly didn't I?"
His words sounded like a groan as he watched Remus sit with Arabella at the Ravenclaw table.

"He went ice skating with her, he went pranking with her. What next!? They'll be Marauders together!"
Peter exclaimed. Remus was still ignoring them and Sirius was hating every second of it. It felt strange, in a bad way. They had just returned from the winter break and it was the first time Remus went home instead of staying with them. Sirius knew why of course, he was the sole reason why.

"Yes, you did. Now we're all suffering because of it."
Another thing, James was furious with him. He was furious but eventually, it died down to bitterness.

"What do I do to make him come back."
Whined Sirius, his head now laid on the table out of annoyance.

"Wait? Maybe?"
Suggested James.

"I'd rather wait for the day Pina-Coladas were served at Hogwarts."
Sirius didn't have any idea what a pina colada was, neither did James or Peter, he had just heard it from a catchy song somewhere and became curious about whatever it was.

"Maybe you should ask Campbell?"
Suggested Peter.

"Yes! Why didn't I think of that?"
Sirius exclaimed, now sitting properly and no longer had his head on the table.

"She won't even spare you a glance, Sirius."
Said James, dryly.

"I'll make her."

"Sirius, she probably knows of what you did! You think she'll really talk to you that easily?"

"Eh, I'll think of something"
Suddenly, Sirius paused once he noticed a tall glass of a yellow drink with a pineapple garnish. It was served on top of a saucer, with a note a the bottom saying "Non-alcoholic :)" Once he realized what it was, he took hold of the glass and took a sip, completely disregarding the small strange-looking tube.

"Oh my Merlin, Hogwarts has pina Coladas now."

(Can we all pretend Escape was released four years prior its initial release? Thank you <3)

He hasn't thought of anything at all.

It's been a week, he's tried everything but alas it was all futile. He had no idea what to do, he asked, nicely and not so nicely. He negotiated, he even begged. He has now resorted to annoying her, constantly bugging her until she explodes and tells him how to get Remus to forgive him just so he would leave her alone. So far, still no progress.

"Alright. Today we'll be concocting a rather advanced potion called Draught of Living Death. Does anyone know what it does?"
First, Sirius had to endure a dreadful day of potions though. It was a combination class, Ravenclaws and Gryffindors. He wanted to approach Arabella but she was beside Remus, he couldn't execute his plan. Plus he didn't want her to tell Professor Slughorn if he would get on her nerves too much during this class.

"Alright, pair up everyone, we'll be brewing the potion. Abbot and Adams. Allen and Armstrong. Bright and Baker. Campbell and Black. Chapman and Davies.-"
It seemed like the odds were on Sirius' side today.

"Hello, Campbell."

"Can you at least keep the cauldron from burning?"

"Yeah, duh?"

"Good. Do that, and don't talk to me."
A corner of his lips raised a bit. He knew his plan was working. He knew sooner or later that Arabella Campbell would reach her limit and tell him what to do. She just needed a little nudge.

"Say, Campbell, what do you think is the best way to get Remus to forgive me?"

"Shut up."
An amused smile appeared on his lips.

"I don't think that's a good way. I've been trying that but it's not working at all, your not stupid are you?"
He felt victory getting nearer and nearer, he could almost taste it especially when he saw the conflicted and annoyed expression on her face.

"Look,"
She said with a sigh, not bothering to look up from the chopping board.

"This whole asking for my help thing was funny at first, now it's just pathetic. Put yourself in his shoes, how would you feel if Remus told someone you didn't trust your biggest secret? What if Remus thought you'd be a-okay with murdering someone?"
Sirius paused.

He wondered what it would feel like if Remus told someone like Snape his biggest secret? Like, the fact he was abused at home, neglected, and villanized? He would have felt so betrayed, and furious. With that, Sirius understood Remus better. He understood why he was angry and now honestly, he would be angry at himself too.

"Wow.. thanks, Campbell."

"Your welcome. Now can you please stop the cauldron from burning?!"

It may not seem like it but Sirius liked to take walks whenever he needed to clear his mind. On this particular evening, he took a walk to think of ways to make Remus forgive him while Arabella's words lingered throughout his head.

"So, you and Lupin seem super close huh?"
Said a voice from a door, a door that was slightly ajar. He realized it was a girl's laboratory. Still out of curiosity, he stayed back and listened, making sure to keep his eyes away from the open space of the door.

"Yeah, I don't want him to be alone."
Answered Arabella. Then Sirius realized it. It was Arabella and her friends Sirius knew to be Barden and Bright. And they were talking about Remus.

"Are you sure? Are you sure you just don't want to have his undivided attention divided?"

"Eileen!"

"What? You said you liked Remus!"
Julien said,

"Yeah but.. I still feel guilty of dating him unless I meet this secret admirer person."
Wait, Campbell feels guilty? That's why she's rejecting Remus?! Even if she likes him back?!

"Right, the secret admirer? Say what would you like his personality to be?"
At that moment, Sirius was confused. It was like his brain had lost a cog and it was trying to function without it.

"I'd like him to be like... Remus?"
Arabella answered.

"Then date Remus!"
Exclaimed Julien.

"Look, I really can't date anyone else without feeling like an absolute terrible person. I don't want anything holding me back if I date Remus or the secret admirer. If he's an asshole then I'll break it off, and ask Remus out, simple."
And then the cog was returned and Sirius couldn't help but gasp.

Campbell feels guilty about dating Remus because of.... Remus?! This whole secret admirer thing is starting to sound like a bad idea.

It was as if the cog was newly oiled and was better than ever. An idea Sirius knew would make Remus running back to them not only with forgiveness but also gratitude. With that, he started his walk back to the Gryffindor tower, a spring in his step and a plan in mind.
