"You... what?" Earth almost shouted at Singto. The chef crouched beside Earth as they hid behind tall bushes outside the Palace's South gate.
"Shhh, shut it Captain. The Prince is coming out in two minutes, okay. Calm your ass down."
"I'm thankful for all your help, Chef, but how can you leave the Prince alone with White? You're less than a yard away from the exit. Are you seriously trying to sabotage the plan?" Earth hissed.
"Don't use that tone on me, Captain. Mix said he wanted to talk to White, so I let him." Singto reasoned. "People around Mix should really start listening to him more and stop deciding what they think is best for him. Only the Prince can dictate that; not the King, not his royal advisors, not you nor me. You out of all people should know what walking away now means for Mix. Two minutes don't seem too much when it's your whole life and your family's name on the line."
Earth felt like he was punched in the gut hearing Singto's words. Since he heard that the wedding date was moved up, all he could think of was running away with the Prince. If he had to spend the rest of his life hiding from the Palace, he'd do it. For Mix. With Mix.
But had he really considered if this is what Mix wants? What if Mix finally had enough? What if Mix decides that Earth wasn't worth the risk of losing everything he has known his entire life - the Palace, his family, his duty and identity as the Prince?

"You're making me dizzy, Kit. Calm down and sit, will you?"
"If it's Win putting himself in danger you'd be doing much worse than me, Bright." Kit shot back at his bandmate. The vocalist was losing his mind. It's been hours since his husband went to the Palace. Singto was supposed to help the Prince escape by guiding him through some secret hallway.
Under different circumstances, Kit would have enjoyed this cool secret agent kind of stuff. But when it's his husband doing the crazy work, it's a whole different story.
As much as he would like someone else to take his husband's place, Kit admitted that Singto was the only logical choice. Among all of them, he has the most believable reason to be in the Palace and the one with the least publicity. Kit, Bright and Win are famous in the entertainment industry. Off and Gun are fashion icons while Anya, Tay and New are well known entrepreneurs. They would all be spotted by guards from afar. Singto, on the other hand, was an actual chef who has always been private despite being married to the frontman of the BDC band.
"Anya? Have you heard from them?" Gun asked Anya, trying to divert the attention from the tension between Bright and Kit. Gun knew that Bright was just as anxious as Kit, if not more.
It's taking every ounce of self control for Anya to remain calm. The boys are a mess with all their worrying so she needed a clear head to think rationally for all of them.
"It's only been ten minutes since the time we estimated to get them out of the Palace. The men I asked to join Earth and the royal guards would call me as soon as they meet with Singto and Mix."
Kit continued pacing back and forth with a worried expression. He's had two years of wonderful marriage with Singto, but he wants more; he wants a lifetime with him. He wants all the cliche romantic stuff - building a family, raising their kids and growing old together.
"What if they get caught? Will they throw my husband to jail? If he's accused of treason, can he be punished with death penalty?"
Off understood how Kit felt. They both know that the happier you are with someone, the more scared you are to loose that person. The miracle of being with someone you truly cherish comes with the fear that it may be taken from you in an instant.
The older guy pats Kit at the back to stop him from pacing and to comfort him at the same time.
"Come on, Kit. We know this day's been specially hard on you, but negative thoughts won't help us now. It's too early to assume anything." Off said as he guided Kit to one of the couches for him to sit.
Win was looking at his older male friends and feeling guilty all over again. They wouldn't be in this situation if he hadn't dragged him into his friend's issues.
"I'm really sorry for all this mess"
"No, babe, none of this is your fault. We all wanted to help Mix." Bright was quick to answer as he place his hand in his fiance's thigh, squeezing it lightly.
Gun looked at the couple sitting closely each other on the sofa. Just as his husband did to Kit, Gun assured the younger guys.
"Papii is right. Negative thoughts won't help us and that includes blaming yourself, Win. It's not your fault some bad people are trying to use the Prince for their own gains."
The sound of the door opening had all of them raising their heads.
Kit hurried to the door as soon as saw Singto getting inside.
"You look like you aged a year or two in a span of a day, Hon." Singto teased his husband.
Kit responded by kissing Singto's forehead and hugging him tightly.
"Welcome home, Hon."
The rest of the guys stood up from where they were sitting to welcome the newcomers.
They were all happy to see Mix standing beside Earth.
The Royal Guard was finally holding the Prince's hand.
"It's good to see you, Mix."
