"No, Earth. Definitely not." Mix said, shaking his head. "You can't force me to do these things. That's an order. An order from the Prince of Thailand, you hear me?"
Earth chuckled at Mix's attempt to look intimidating. God, his Prince looks so adorable with his eyebrows crunched together and his arms crossed on his chest.
"Look, Mix. You've been neglecting sparring lessons for so long. We don't have enough men to guard you at all times so I'm gonna have to train you at hand to hand combat."
"I've got you already, why would I need that?"
Earth almost melted at Mix's words. Of course, Mix has him - always have and always will.
But that doesn't mean he'll let him skip basic combat lessons now that they have some alone time as Anya and the guys try to figure things out. The Alliance also reached out to Anya so it will only take a couple of days before they put things into action.
The Adulkittiporn beach house is a spacious property in a secluded island that is only accessible via air transport. Off's mother, a global fashion icon, gave this to the couple as a wedding gift.
The lawn garden right infront of the three-story house was perfectly shaded with huge trees. It was the perfect place for combat class.
"Come on, Mix. It will be fun. Why are you so against it?"
The sudden change in Mix's expression surprised Earth.
"Just don't push it, Earth. I.." Mix said, averting his eyes.
By instinct, Earth moved closer and carefully snaked his arm around Mix's waist.
"Hey, what is it? What's wrong?" Earth has been Mix's bodyguard for a year now but he always puts off his training sessions. He initially thought Mix just wasn't fond of these things and there's really no use for it then.
"I'm not..I..ugh," Mix groaned in frustration.
"Shh, you can tell me, Your Highness. What's bothering you?"
Mix moved out of Earth's embrace. "Just tell me why you're really doing this, Earth. Do you think I'm fat? That I eat too much? If you want me to lose weight, just say it to my face."
"Whoa, wait, hold on. What? What are you saying, Mix? Where is this coming from?"
"I always knew, Earth. I overheard White telling the sparring coach to design a program to help me lose weight. That's what the sparing lessons are for, right? I've got bigger problems now than my fucking weight."
That's the first time Earth heard about White's instructions to the coach. All the while Earth thought that the classes are for self-defense purposes.
"That's bullshit. You're in perfectly good shape and weight, Mix. What was White thinking?"
"It's not only White," Mix said quietly. "I hear them all the time. The court ladies, the kitchen staff - all of them say I'm a big eater."
"You are a healthy eater, Mix. I've seen every meal you had in the last year. Whatever you heard from them, just...don't mind it okay?" Earth said, trying to comfort the Prince. People really need to think twice before making comments about other's weight or appearances. One seemingly innocent remark could take a toll on someone else.
When Mix didn't say anything, Earth pulled him closer to hug him again.
"You're perfect, Mix. Believe me, the only reason I want to teach you to fight is to protect you." Earth loosened his hold of Mix and placed his hands on his cheeks, lightly nudging Mix to look at him. "Think of it this way. Think of the lessons as me sharing a part of myself to you so you can protect yourself when I'm not around, okay?"
