This world's Sarutobi was just as hard as the other one. He was a great teacher but also kind of a perv.
Hana managed to merge Kurama's chakra with her own, but just as Naruto was struggling with it was slowly killing her. Even though she trained intensely to ease the side effects and increase her strength, her ninjutsu was still her weakest point.
"How long do you think I'll have left to live now?"
She was sitting on top of a waterfall, staring off into the horizon. The sun was just setting, sending the sea into a chaos of colors.
Kurama didn't like that, her dying because of him. But there was nothing he could do about it either. A few years if you're careful about how much you use.
"So I should have time to see Luffy become Pirate King. That's all I need."
"Hana! Back to training!"
Sighing, Sarutobi wasn't letting up. Kurama laughed at her as she slowly made her way back to the training grounds. This was her own personal hell.
Months passed with Hana training day and night to control her new strength and powers. Finally Sarutobi-sensei informed her of current affairs.
"WHAT!?"
Hana stood wide eyed as she stared at her sensei. He was keeping this from her the entire time! She could have been out helping them fight. But she's been here training, what if they were injured!
The old man sighed and puffed smoke from his pipe. "You needed to train, but you have completed it. It is time for you to help your friends." He handed her a white jacket that looked oddly familiar to her. "A god has been unleashed. They will not be able to combat it, chakra is needed."
The redhead shrugged on the jacket, finding it fit her perfectly. She smoothed it down, the white a nice contrast to her black long sleeve. There was orange trim on it, really familiar looking.
"Well, any advice?" She could use the help. Anything would be useful to her. Anything at all.
The old man just sighed and shrugged. Great, he's as unhelpful as the Hokage. "You'll figure it out yourself what needs to be done. Don't fear it, you'll understand." And he also speaks in riddles. Great.
"Thanks for the training, old man." She flashed him a smile and a peace sign. "I'll see you later." Hana disappeared in a flash, leaving behind a grim looking sensei.
"Perhaps, or perhaps not. Only time will tell if your journey ends here."
Hana wasn't prepared to teleport into such a chaotic state. Sunny had her mark placed on the mast, so that's where she went. Figured it would be best to be out of the action and assess the situation.
And it was grim.
Fire raged from burning ships, both marine and pirates alike. Her crew was half there, the long range fighters. Usopp, Nami, Chopper and Franky were all defending the Sunny from attacks.
It looked like the sky was raining with the elements. Fire, earth and water fell down upon the ships. What the hell was this?
"Hana!?"
Nami spotted the redhead first, relief filling her at the sight. Rushing up to her, Hana was hugged tightly. "You're here to help? I don't know where the others went but they were fighting it and it's too strong."
Hana placed her hands on the navigator's shoulders with a smile. "Okay. I'll find them all and make sure they're okay. We'll do this together." This was beyond their limits.
Are you sure this is wise? The energy from that creature is increasing by the second. They are not strong enough to combat it.
Hana sighed, "I know. But I can't remove them from the fight. It'll insult them, they wish to help." The marines were a shock to her, she wasn't expecting them to team up. "Any clue as to what it is?"
Looks like a chakra made giant with several releases. I'm not sure where it came from.
Ah didn't hurt to ask a chakra made beast itself. How irritating. "Ah let's go join the fun!" Hana was running across the water, dodging debris and falling rocks. She picked up energy signatures nearby, several of them.
Time to test out her new strength. "Should we go attack the creature or help the injured?" She was a medical nin at heart, it was her first instinct to assess the injured and remove them.
We must fight.
Wasting no time, Hana began her journey up its body. Jumping in front of its face, the beady eyes focused on her as she brought a chakra powered fist down onto its face.
The creature howled and stumbled backwards, one hand holding its face and the other waving towards her. Crap, a counter attack.
Hana zipped between them, destroying them in the process. This would be easier if you could do ninjutsu. Cursing Kurama for pointing out her flaw, she went in for another attack.
Flipping around her leg made contact with the side of its face. It flew to the side, crashing into the sea and sending water flying.
Hana landed lightly on top of the ocean, well that was easy. Do not underestimate it. Be cautious. I still feel a rising energy. Great. Just great.
Teleporting to one of her marks, Hana appeared behind Zoro. They stood upon a piece of wreckage, staring down at a figure.
Peering around him, her heart stalled for a moment. Luffy was injured, seriously injured. Law was kneeling next to him, doing his best to help.
"LUFFY!"
Hana scrambled to his side, worry and concern filling her face. Everyone looked at her surprised to see her there, a hand clutching her Captains.
His chakra points are blocked. But how? If they aren't fixed he could die!
Small hands rested upon his chest, concentration filling her. Her chakra filled his system, she looked for those blocked points.
As she worked to heal him, Law was pulled back by Ace who shook his head. "Don't ask. Just let her do it." They never understood her healing ability but it worked well. This was Law's first time seeing her in action and it amazed him.
Once she finished, Hana stood up with a frown. "Get him back to the ship, all of you go. There's nothing you can do here. This is my fight." So that's what Sarutobi meant, only she could do this. Chakra vs chakra. A fight to the death.
Zoro frowned and crossed his arms. "I only take orders from the Captain. I'm itching to slice it," he was silenced by her hand in his face.
"It's not an order. It's a highly recommended suggestion. You are all injured," The side of her tilted towards them, eyes dark blue with fury. "No one gets away with harming my friends."
Ace had picked Luffy up and nodded, he understood first that they couldn't injure it. Zoro was fighting to stay before Robin used her powers to carry him. The others followed their suit, heading back to defend their ships and crew.
This will not be easy. With your condition, it will worsen it
"Yeah I know. But if it's to protect those precious to me." Hana cracked her knuckles with a grim look. "I'm willing to do it all over again."
