(R) Rainy Day

Warnings: Cursing, Fluff
Prompt: Rip sends Y/n and Ryan to deal with the floods outside the barns and Ryan slowly finds himself falling in love with Y/n.

Story:
It was raining like crazy outside at the Dutton Ranch and everyone was inside since we didn't have to take care of cattle since they were in the field

I looked out the window and sighed slightly I loved rainy days but I also didn't want to get sick either so I stayed inside but I did see Rip coming towards the bunkhouse

I sat up a bit as I looked over at the guys who were watching Tv I heard the door open which made me look over and see Rip

"Ryan Y/n go get a pump and pump out the water that's flooding the side of the barn" He said as Me and Ryan were on our feet immediately

I grabbed my hat as I also grabbed a coat that was oversized on me as me and Ryan walked out of the bunkhouse

"You go get an extension cord I'll go get the pump" Ryan said as I looked up at him and nodded my head as I walked into the tool part of the barn

Ryan came in as I grabbed the blue cord he grabbed the pump cord that was long enough to go to the field as I walked over and plugged in the cord

I glanced over at Ryan as he set up the pump before we went back outside and went to the side of the barn that was flooding "Here take this and go put it out in the field" Ryan said as I nodded and grabbed the end of the pump

I walked and dropped the end of the pump as I looked over to Ryan who was looking at me he nodded as he turned on the pump

A few seconds later water started coming out of the pump and I started walking back to Ryan who was watching the water disappear

Once I made it over to Ryan he glanced at me as the rain came down harder which I heard Ryan sigh "This is gonna take for fucking ever" He said still looking at me

"Well it's a good thing I like rain" I said as he chuckled and looked to the pump as he looked up slightly looking at the clouds

"Wonder how long this is gonna last" He said looking at me as I shrugged as he chuckled lightly "That looks a little oversized on you" He said referring to my coat

"Well it's the only one that I like" I said smiling up at him as he chuckled once again and shook his head as he glanced back at the bunkhouse

He let out a sigh as he turned back to the pump the large puddle of water was slowly going away

Me and Ryan weren't really friends but we weren't enemies either we would talk and joke around but we weren't close

I was mostly close to Jimmy and Walker I was good friends with Walker mostly cause he was my child hood best friend before I left

I looked up at the sky and closed my eyes feeling the rain hit my face I smiled lightly as I heard Ryan chuckle

"You ever catch rain in your mouth?" He asked as I opened my eyes and looked at him

"Every time it rains" I said with a smile as he smiled at me and nodded his head before it went quiet again

"Your childish you know that?" Ryan said as he looked at me and I nodded slightly

"With some things I am" I said as he chuckled and nodded

"Like with rain?" He said as I giggled and nodded my head

"Especially with rain" I said as he chuckled and we talked about other things before Rip came over and told us to go inside

Me and Ryan got inside I took off the soaked jacket as well as my hat and hung them up before I walked to my bunk and grabbed a blanket
