As I forced myself to open my eyes and get up from the soft red carpet, I checked the time on Amanda's table "OH GOSH!! GUYS IT'S 11:45 AM WE NEED TO GET UP." I yelled while shaking them. they both moaned with fatigue, "We can ditch it's not a big deal." Amanda said, I took a deep breath and lied on the bed. "Oh Lily your birthday is on the 20th right.?" Amanda asked while opening her eyes, I nodded. "OK we'll go shopping today for dresses. What kind of party do you want me, Jessica and Matt could help." She offered. "Uh Lisa and Joe wants me to have a masquerade theme which I would love but....I don't want you guys to spend money for me." I said gracefully. Amanda thrust of the ground, "Nonsense I want you to have the best sweet 16 ever." she said excitedly. I stayed quiet because there're is no stopping Amanda when she have something in her mind.
"Well, we should get ready, I heard that the boutique at the mall was having a sale on dresses." Jess said. We all sighed then got up. "Lily, you and Jess could take the 2 bathrooms downstairs, and i'll take the one in my parents room." Amanda ordered. We rushed to our places and met back in Amanda's room, with towels around our chest as if we came from a spa. Amanda and Jessica crowded the vanity and took out containers from a box. "Aren't you going to put on some make-up." Jessica asked. while putting on mascara, Amanda pulled me and sat me down on a chair. "I'll do it for her." they started giggling. "There you go." Jessica said while laughing, we began to put our clothes on and went out.
~~~~SHOPPING SPREE~~~~
"What about this one?" Amanda said for the 5th time as she clinged to a dress. "It's too short and bright. I want it long, and dark like red." I explained. "Oh...My...Gosh I so call this one." Jessica said as she ran to a bright pink gown. "Go try it on." Amanda said, as Jess ran to the dressing room.
She walked out in her sparkling bright pink dress, it look tottaly amazing I wanted to cry. "That looks stunning on you." I said, she smiled and went to take it off. "So that one, two more to buy." Amanda said as she check out the store. "I like this one for you and you can wear it with that black heels you bought a while back." I said while giving her a long aquamarine/green and blue dress. She took it and went to try it on, I left her with Jessica and went to look for my own. After looking my eyes finnaly caught on a brilliant red ball gown with limestone on the front. I went up to it and took it down. "JACKPOT!" Amanda yelled from behind me. "You need to try that on." Jessica said backing her up. "No, I want it to feel special the first time i wear it." I said still looking at the dress in amazement.
We paid for our dresses/gowns and headed back to Amanda's house. "I don't know how to feel right now." I said smiling as we entered Amanda's room. "Haha well, i'm really happy for you, this is gonna be the best birthday you ever have." Jessica said, "I'll make an invitation list for you." Amanda offered as she took a pen and sheet of paper. "Well first of all us, what about Maddie and Aiden?" She said looking at me. I shook my head in agreement she smirked as she write down their names, she continued writting people names down. "And....done. Thats over a hundred people already." she said feeling proud about herself. My phone started ringing as Jess passed it to me.
Hello....oh, hey Matt.
~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~
Sure I can go, okay, oh really?! Thanks. I'm on my way.
"What's up?" Jess asked. "Matt want me to go with him to his cousin, he says that we can borrow her ballroom forthe party." I explained while grabbing my bag, "Bye see you tonight." I ran downstairs and went over to Matt. "Hey Matt." I said as he guided me inside, after our little "meet and greet" we got into his car. "Do you want something to eat before we go?" he asked. "Uh no, why?" I said as I got in. "We're traveling pretty far and I don't know if we'll pass a drive-thru on our way." I sighed and ordered him to go. As we passed many streets and towns, I managed to not starve and fell asleep. It was now 12:30 am, and Matt was still driving. "Are we there yet." I said like a 5 year old.
"Nope, but we are entering the town now." He stated
I got up straight and stared and the sign. "No way!!! We're in Emerald Count." I almost shrieked.
He nodded without taking his eyes off the road.
We finally stopped at a gate. "C'mon" he said as he slammed the door. I followed behind him as I stared around. "Jefferson, long time no see." He greeted a guard at the gate.
"Ahh Sir Matthew, the girls were expecting you, go right ahead."
The dude raised up the gate and Matt and I proceeded. He opened the main door as if he knew it was open. "Sophia!!" He yelled. Two loud shrieked from upstairs as two girl ran and jumped Matt.
"Matt we missed you." Sophia said still hugging him. He chuckled with love and hugged them back. They both stopped and lay their eyes on me. "Oh, hello,this is my sister Liz and I'm-"
"Your princess Sophia!!" I yelled in amazement.
"Well nice to know I have a fan." She blushed. "Sophia, Liz, this is my friend, Lily." Matt said brushing himself with his hands. They both greeted me with smiles and we walked into this massive ballroom. "This is where the party's going down." Liz said as she pointed.
I was filled with various emotions, I had nothing to do but, stare at the wide room.
"This....this is amazing." I said still staring at the room. "I want streamers, balloons, punch bowls, tables with 4 chairs each. Can I have the DJ system set up over here, oh, and I want a huge stage in that empty space over there." I was picturing the party in my head. Matt smiled as I continued to plan the party.
At 2:45 am we were finish and ready to head back home. "See you guys soon." the two sisters waved. My heart was pumping with excitement, I still couldn't believe that I was actually having a sweet 16, this is amazing.
