you and childe went back to the house, patrols and guards were nowhere to be found as you went back. you removed your cloak as soon as you stepped foot inside, releasing a deep breath.
"that was a really beautiful sight childe, thank you for taking me there." you said.
"we can go back as soon as this is all over, i promise." he smiles, hoping he didn't sadden you by what he said. "i should get going, it's getting late."
childe never slept in the house ever since. he would always go back to morepesok with his family to sleep, then go back here the next day on a very early morning. most of the time, you would even catch him already cooking in the kitchen by the time you woke up.
"i'll see you tomorrow [Y/N]–"
"wait." you grabbed the bottom of his shirt, stopping him. "can you..." you started, but suddenly heat rushed to your cheeks.
childe tilts his head in confusion, "is there something else you need?"
you look down, gulping before you continued. "can you... can you stay."
his eyes widened in surprise, not expecting your request. "you mean–"
"just for tonight!" you added. "since this would be my last night here i figured..."
the man suddenly had a sly smirk on his face, "you're naughtier than i thought princess."
"it's not like that." you quickly said, knowing he had the wrong idea about it. "i just needed the company."
"i was just teasing." he chuckled. "alright, i'll stay for tonight."
"thank you." you released him from your grip.
when childe entered, he proposes the idea of continue what you were cooking with him. you obliged, so you cooked more feasts with him for the night.
you had made too many dishes just for the two of you, the kitchen was a mess since childe had tried to smear some of it on your face. in the end, you told him to clean the mess he made while you wash your face.
you ate dinner with him, tasting each of the dishes you both made. it was too much for the both of you, so you ended up not finishing a lot of it.
moments like these with him were memories you were going to treasure. you knew that even though you would be far from him, he would continue to linger in your mind everyday.
after the meal, you washed the plates while he dried them. "i ate too much..." he complained as he was wiping a plate.
"that's what you get for finishing everything i made."
"it was too good."
"i can always just–" you paused, remembering that you wouldn't be able to make one for him after this. no wonder he made the most of it tonight. "nevermind..."
when you were done washing the dishes, you told childe that you were going to wash up before bed. when you came back after you got dressed however, you saw him throwing pillows at the sofa in the living room.
"what are you doing?" you asked.
he looks at you and replied, "...preparing my make shift bed?"
"the bed is big enough for the two of us childe." as you said this, his ears slowly turned red. you didn't know why he was still flustered about it when you've done more intimate things than this.
"a-are you sure?"
"it's not like we haven't slept on the same bed before." you explained. "plus, that sofa is not the comfortable enough. come on."
