Three heroes stand in the small garden oasis of the Watchtower, their eyes trained on the Earth below. Birds fly overhead, chirping happily. Wonder Woman is the first to make a sound; a small sigh falls from her red lips, and she looks between her two friends with a frown. "Times like these, one feels the very weight of the world upon us," she says grimly.

Neither Superman or Batman tear their gazes away from Earth, the big sphere of blue and green hues floated alone in the abyss of space, and they each felt the weight of it on their shoulders, as footsteps echo through the room.

"Everyone is here." Aquaman announces, then leads the three leaders of the Justice League into the meeting chamber. The rest of the League waits inside, and as the four heroes join them, the shutter doors close. "Our agenda is clear," he states. "What's at stake should not be underestimated."

Superman stares out at the faces of his comrades. "The decisions we make today will reverberate for years to come."

"And influence whether or not the world continues to put their trust in the Justice League," Wonder Woman adds, a stern expression painted across her face.

"Please, take your seats." Batman instructs the heroes. "We have work to do."

Everyone settles around the large U-shaped table, with small holographic screens coming alive in front of them. Martian Manhunter stays standing. "Another expansion of the League could generate hostilities from our enemies," he informs. "No one needs or wants another Injustice League."

"Point taken, but the option remains to vote no on all candidates," Superman explains. "So, I nominate Icon for League membership." With the tap of a button, a hologram portraying the image of the hero known as Icon appears in the centre of the table.

"Why?" Green Arrow stares up at the hologram with a raised brow. "Because you suspect Icon might be Kryptonian like you did with Captain Marvel?"

"You thought I was Kryptonian?" Captain Marvel grins excitedly. "Cool!"

"Icon interests me also." Wonder Woman rests her hand against Superman's arm. "As does his protege, Rocket." The hologram changes, slowly shifting from Icon to Rocket as Wonder Woman continues, "Athena knows the League could use more female members."

Black Canary nods, "Agreed."

"Hear, hear," Hawkwoman cheers.
