"Flamebird: B-Zero-Two."

The automated voice of the zeta-tube announces her arrival as she steps out of the teleporter. Backpack slung over her shoulder, and a bag of marshmallows in one hand, she holds her sleeping bag under her arm. She was somewhat thankful for all the countless sleepovers she had at the West's house in the past few years. If it weren't for them, she wouldn't be having one in the first place.

Camping wasn't exactly an activity Bruce participated in.

"Birdy, you made it!" Wally calls out as he comes jogging into the room. His signature grin is tugging at his lips as he comes to a stop in front of her, carefully snatching her sleeping bag to lessen the load.

"Of course." Her lips curled into a smile, despite the surprise she felt as he had come to greet her at the zeta-tube. She glances behind the boy, her brows furrowing as she looks over the empty room, "Where's everyone?"

"Oh! They're setting everything up outside." Without a second thought, he reaches his free hand out to wrap around hers as he tugs her forward while walking. Part of her knew he only wanted her to keep up, but the action still had her cheeks igniting in hues of red. "Rob needed Supes' help gathering more firewood, and Miss M and Aqualad are setting up the tents we found. You know, surprisingly, there was a lot of camping gear scattered around the Cave."

She laughs at his rambling and nods her head. "Is that what made you want to go camping in the backyard?"

"Well, it's a beautiful night out," he shrugs as they reach the Cave's back entrance. "I thought Miss M and I could watch the stars, but then Rob, Superboy and Aqualad decided to join. So, then, I was like, hey! We should get the whole team in on this, you know?"

Her smile falls. She was used to this, she had been watching Wally fall for other girls since they met two years ago; and yet, her heart stings in her chest as he once again openly admits to his obvious crush on M'gann.

She was just an afterthought in his mind.

Clearing her throat, she lets go of his hand. "Anyone bring graham crackers?" She asks, in an attempt to change the topic. "We can't make s'mores without them."

"Who do you think we are?" Wally fakes a gasp and turns to look back at her as they approach the small campsite the team set up. "Animals?"

She rolls her eyes, tossing the bag of marshmallows into the pile of other snacks they brought out with them. "Are you seriously asking me that? With the way you eat, Wal?"

"Yue!" M'gann jumps to her feet, a kind smile etched on her lips as she strolls forward to embrace the shorter girl. "You came!"

She tenses for a moment, then wraps her arms around M'gann. The bitter taste of silent rejection leaves her mouth as she returns the gesture. M'gann had been nothing but nice ever since joining the team, she had no right to be upset with her.
