Denver walked up to the black haired man sitting there.

He went and sat down beside him, cross legged as he took in the view.

They were on the roof of a broken station, that used to work long ago. It was their place, they could see the skyline from there and the sunset was just beautiful.

"You know, I used to come here long after everything. My siblings used to protest against it but this was the only place that felt comfortable to be. It felt safe to me, like an actual home " Connor said.

"Cone- I, I'm really sorry Cone, I didn't mean to hurt you in any way, I just I forgot about the whole name deal. I wanted to come clean believe me but I was just lost in the moment-"

"It's fine Denver, this is not like the first time you ever broke my heart" Connor said cutting him off.

"That was not my fault " Denver said.
"No, it wasn't, I admit " Connor said.

(Let's rewind the story a bit )

"Co- Cone? " Denver croaked out. Connor got up from his seat, he went to the back table to drink water.

"You know this is ridiculous, they just come in and claim to be the Witz, you know what history we have with them, how are we to believe them"  Connor said.

"Are you listening? " Michael asked
"He said Cone " Jason said

"That doesn't mean, it's Denver, I mean anyone can just shorten my name to Cone, I ju-"

"We met under the Banana tree at the park beside our houses" He was cut off by Denver."You were reading a book - Moby Dick and I walked up to you and said -"

"You reading a book about Dick? " They both said. A laugh escaped from their lips.

They both suddenly looked up at the same time, into their eyes. Blue eyes meeting the green ones as a spark flew between them. The same spark that was felt what seemed like a thousand decades later. Not a word was spoken for quite sometime until Connor kept his glass down and started to walk towards the door.

Denver got up at the same time and rushed outside behind Connor. But as he reached outside, Connor was already gone. He however knew exactly where Connor had gone.

(And they ended up here)

The same warmth, the same softness, the same strength. The same feeling of a home. All returned as if this moment was lost in the pages of history just waiting to happen.

Denver  looked at Connor as the latter returned the same gaze. And immediately, everything broke. Their lips crashed into each other as the world around seemed to light up and make more sense than usual.

Their lips moved in perfect harmony as their hands reached into each other's hair and cheeks. Their bodies slowly closed all the space between as everything just naturally fell into place. The whole world just cooperated together to make this moment happen. Everything was perfect.
The sun was setting just then, as it bathed their faces with a crimson glow. One would've deemed this heavenly.

They finally broke apart as both of them panted for air. Then Denver's face broke into the sweetest smile. Their foreheads were touched and Denver's hands were on Connor's  cheeks, that blushed red. Connor returned Denver's smile with a slight laugh as his mouth parted.

They both let go and fell apart laughing like little children. They didn't know how or why but they were just content with the situation. Both their hearts were filled with happiness as they just sat there. Connor leaned against Denver as Denver wrapped an arm around Connor and held him close.
