Epilogue: To the End

"Okay guys" Connor claps his hands and blows on them.

"While Den's in the shower I would like to take this opportunity to talk about something" He said as took a shaky breath.

"You okay Cone? You look a bit - off" Skyle said as he sat down.

"Yeah, everything fine? " Jason asked, his mouth full of bacon.

"Skyle and Adam, I know you require the father's permission for the hand of the bride but given the circumstances, I uhh- I want to ask for your permission to ask Den for marriage" Connor said quickly as closed his eyes.

He had imagined adverse reactions but not what he got.

After a few seconds which seemed like hours Connor slowly peeked open his eyes. It looked as if time was frozen with the way everyone was staring at him with their mouths wide open.

"Uhh - guys? " Connor asked to make sure they were alive.

Skyle was the first to recover, he got up from his chair and went and head on squeezed Connor in a hug. "Yes, not that it matters but yes yes yes" He said.

Adam was next as went to Connor and said
"My brother means the world to me and he has suffered a lot of hardships but I see the way he looks and talks to you, he loves you. And so I'll be more than happy to accept this" He too embraced Connor in a warm hug.

"Hold on - when were you planning on telling us? " Michael asked as he got up from his chair.

"Now" Connor said.

"Wait, what?! " Jason asked.

"Yes, I've decided that I would ask Denver if he would marry me, a proposal as they say" Connor said now, grinning madly.

"When is this ' proposal ' ? " Gabbie asked.

"Tonight" Connor said.

By the looks of their shocked faces, "Don't worry,it's a surprise to him I've planned everything out, I've handled everything" Connor said.

"What thing? " Denver asked as he descended down the stairs.

"Everything" Connor said, turning around and grinning.

"Minor dysfunction at the station, just gotta head there for some time" Connor said.

Denver whined "But, it's Sunday".

Connor quickly pecked Denver on the lips "I'm a cop honey, it's my job, I'll be back in a jiffy " He said as he quickly grabbed the keys.

Before leaving, he took a last look at Denver "Bye Den, love you" He said.

"Bye, love you too" Denver called back.

Denver carefully waited until he heard the car leave before he clapped his hands.

"Okay guys" He said.

"Now, what's up with you? " Jason asked sipping his coffee.

" It's just a formality but for it's sake,I would like to have all of your permission because I wanna ask Cone to marry me " Dean said excitedly.

Jason almost choked on his coffee "What?!" He shouted.

"Yeah, I'd like to propose to him tonight" Denver said now growing wary.
"Why? Are you not okay with it? " He asked.

"No, no we're okay, we're more than happy. All that matters is Connie loves you and I'm sure he would marry you. But-" Michael got stuck trying very hard to conceal.

Skyle quickly took over "When we're you gonna tell us Den? " He asked.

"Now" Denver said scoffing.

"O my god" Andy muttered.
"This is a crime scene" Adam whispered.
