"Soulmates" was something one was supposed to feel happy about. One was supposed to feel pride , jealousy, love and affection from their other half But the only thing she ever felt when she heard about it was fear.
Fear of rejection...
Her soulmat...
I ran to the next street as soon as i could but i was greeted with a cycle dashing me , resulting in me and the little girl from the cycle fall down as she started crying.
Aish. This kid had to come now! Her crying grew louder and louder. As I went near her to check for any hurt , some men took the girl away and thats when i realised what was happening. Trap.
They wanted me to get distracted so that they could try and jab me from behind like the man behind me was coming right now. Now wait. What did even they think?Did they think a few weak guys could defeat him? ha! what a thought to think about an ace of the gang that has people trembling by just hearing it's name. They underestimated me , and now my pride wont Allow me to go ahead without Chopping their heads.
I kicked the guy in front of me before holding the knife of another guy who decided to come from behind me. I held the knife so tightly , my palm started bleeding with a huge cut. And I don't give a damn.
Soon the guys were sprawled on the floor unmoving and i rubbed the blood at the corner of my bottom lips.
'Easy...' I thought but then another thought hit me. Three guys were in the Store ahead and they most probably made a heck out of it. They could escape anytime now...no that can't happen .......
I ran faster than ever limping in one leg as i felt tired. The same sick feeling from before kicking in , making me want to throw up , my legs ached like anything...But that didn't stop me from reaching the store. As i went near , i noticed 3 guys in the side (their backside to me) and a girl sitting on her knees , she slapped one of the guys that went close to her.
As the guy that had Crouched down went to slap her i cut in the air.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you" i said Lowly but it being audible due to the silence before walking and standing right before the crouched girl to push these guys away with a finger.
Third person Pov
Aera opened her eyes slowly after hearing the mysterious voice of the person to see an oddly familiar guy now standing right in front of her , back facing her.
" Oh Finally!!.. Haechan its been long huh? I'm sure you missed my punches" the tall guy said.
Haechan smirked at this. He knew these three guys. They worked for Red moon and are known as the A's of the gang, well now that wouldn't reason up to when they three went flying up just by recieving a punch from jeno each . tsk ...such a Show-off .
It was always like this a small talk of heat and fight. It was more like trying to taunt your opponent which never worked with haechan. He rather remained calm and answered back wittily testing their patients every now and then.
"Oh yeah ilsang-ah ......I actually rather did miss your punches. How they always went off the target, totally a humorous king" he said tilting his head while smirking.
ilsang visibly tensed but retorted another remark anyways. While haechan replied an ever sassy reply he waved his hand behind him making the girl behind get a hint and slowly crawl near the end of the convenience store Leaning on the wall. She had many questions but rather decided to shut her mouth and decide on how to help the naive boy who came to save her or just passed by but that didn't explain how he knew the guys.
As aera was thinking on what to do , one of the boys launched his hand at haechan jailing for a punch but he swiftly moved and pinned his hand at his back making the Boy hiss pain after he threw him in one of the cabinets causing the guy faint at the big boxes that fell on him.
Then the other guy took hold of haechan as ilsang lunged forward to the a lunch which hit haechan this time. Ilsang hit him so many times at his stomach getting him dizzy. He was bleeding from his mouth and was slowing losing his conscious after all the pain from the soulmates staying apart and his stomach being punched kicked in all at once. His eyes slowly closing.
But.... . . He was haechan...he couldn't let this happen. He was the pride of his gang he would never let them down by some trivial guys that barely learnt to hold a gun at his age. He kicked the guy with all strength he had hard making the guys fall as he punched ilsang pushing him to the ground before crouching near him and breaking his jaw.
While aera sat and watched her eyes teary she saw the guy who haechan just kicked , coming from behind Before he could anything she ran forward holding a pan she had and stood in front of haechan's back as he just sat crouched near ilsang who was knocked out , hitting the guy hard on his head making him collapse.
She breath hard a few times , her knees very weak as it was the 5th day and she couldn't bare it. But she managed to stand straight with shaky legs. She turned her head around slowly looking at his dark brown eyes that looked back at her. Both stared at each other before her eyes widened at his state. His lips bleeding and dried blood near his mouth. His eyes were red. He was breathing very hardly his hands bleeding, his sleeves up and thats when she noticed. Her name in black in his left hand. And thats when it hit her , she met him near the tree that day.....
She gasped her tears falling out that she held in happiness or pain? It was both.
She turned around fully facing him now. She slowly crouched down to his eye level , looking at his face that had a cold and monotone expression just like when she met him first but that didn't matter for her now, she looked at him with a warm gaze and small smile.....he was here.....her key to happiness......her other half was here. After so many days of waiting he was in front of her.
She couldn't believe it. She pointed at him shakily. "A-are you r-really t-there i-in f-front of m-me?" She stuttered but this time it was because of her crying out of both happiness and pain mostly the former.
He scoffed before pointing at himself. "No im dead right now....your seeing a ghost" he said nonchalantly.
She smiled through her tears, she was overwhelmed. She slowly held his hands In hers not minding the blood from his hands flowing to hers and went forward to Hug him. She wrapped her hands around his waist and closed her eyes shut letting her tears fall out meanwhile haechan was dumbfounded.
Who the hell is she? Why is she suddenly hugging him? And he did receive an answer.
A bright golden glow illuminated the slightly dark room which was now illuminated by the light. Their marks glowed , a huge shine emitted from their mark as they sat there in each other's arms.
This was a sign from heaven that marked the bond of soulmates being activated. Now they would feel what each feel grief , sad, happiness , everything. They both were one.
The both were now soulmates , nothing else parting them but death for they were each other's puzzle pieces.
