CHAPTER SEVEN
☽ 𓆉"WHERE HAVE you been?" Estella giggled as her Doberman, Darius, jumped to wake her up.
Wandering around the woods. I don't like staying with the Stoll brothers, they're crazy.
"That's fair," Estella said. She sighed, remembering her dream.
What's wrong?
"I think Annabeth is in trouble. I think it has to do with Luke and Kronos," she explained. "He talked to me last night, in my dream."
You should tell Percy and Chiron. Kronos is very manipulative.
Estella got up from bed and paced around the room. She couldn't get this horrible feeling to shake. It was like there was darkness crawling over her skin like Kronos put some mark on her.
"I— I guess I should," Estella said.
"Who are you talking to—" Nico's eyes widened. "Holy shit you have a Doberman? Awesome!"
Who's the scrawny kid?
"Hey! Who are you calling scrawny?"
Estella and Darius glanced between each other, then back at the young boy.
"You understand him?" Estella said slowly.
"Yeah... can't you?"
"Of course I can, Nico," Estella scoffed. She didn't know if she should reveal too much. Would he be distraught knowing they were one step closer to finding his godly parent?
Estella still needed to brush up on her Greek Mythology, but she did do a decent amount with Chiron in the fall. She knew there were only so many Gods that had control over dogs.
Her mother, Ares, Artemis, and Hades...
Estella's breath hitched.
"What's wrong?" Nico asked.
Estella shook her head, trying to swallow the lump in her throat. It can't be. Nico and Bianca can't be more children from the Big Three. That meant that all the brothers broke their oaths... and the Great Prophecy is up in the air.
Did that still mean she and Percy were meant to fall in love? Or was she now fated to Thalia, or potentially Nico and Bianca?
"Stella?" He prodded. Darius nudged her hand with his nose.
"I'm fine...I'm fine," she told.
"Ooo-kay," Nico sang. "I came in here because I was hoping you'd take me to archery class with Chiron. I'm sure I'd get lost and Bianca—"
"No need to explain," Estella said with a smile. "Let's go."
☽ 𓆉
ESTELLA WISHED the best for Nico and left him with Chiron for archery class. The centaur didn't bother to invite her because they both knew it was not in her skill sets. Stella was much more comfortable with a sword, especially with Blight. It was handcrafted by her mother made to specifically fit Estella. She's luckily only had to use it a few times, but in those few times, it worked well.
She didn't have much to do. Sword fighting was growing a bit overused, and she didn't feel the need to train herself with magical training. Estella's schedule was normally packed in the summer. The winter mostly consisted of mythology lectures and Greek on Mondays and Wednesdays.
