You both crept into the bed once properly clothed. You held one another as you two drifted off into sleep.

.

.

You woke up right before sunrise. Once your eyes opened you instantly saw red hair under you.

Diluc seemed to have gotten much more comfortable in his sleep. You rubbed the top of his head.

You quietly sighed to yourself as you let yourself think.

'I shouldn't allow myself to get too close to him just as I was told... though it is amazing. The bond we have. Not a single worry between him and myself. Yeah I planned how he would first approach me but... ugh... I fear that I'm too attached to him. I never wish to let him go. But one day he'll find out who I truly am... maybe he'll hate every bit of me... maybe he'll even k-'

You hear a soft groan and look down as you lightly rubbed his back. "Have you woken up?"

"Mhm" his grasp onto you grew tighter.

You laugh. "Now let's not try and cut off my ability to breathe." You patted his back.

No reply.

"I said-!" He held onto you even tighter.

"I surrender! Free me!" You hit his back a bit harder than a pat.

Once he lazily held onto you, you took a long inhale to gather back all the air you lost.

"Goodness me..." you sigh as you catch your breath.

You hear a chuckle from him but ignore it as you ruffle his hair.

"You know..." Diluc began to spoke.

You turned your head to look at him. "... I didn't think we'd ever end up like this. Our first meeting, me finding you hurt. Just fully knocked out in the forest... god I wonder what would've happened if I ever saw you at the moment. Or if I just let you be once you had gotten better."

Your eyelids relaxed. "Oh stop it, let's not think like that. You're far too negative you know that?" You lightly pinched his back.

He sighed as he rolled over and laid on his back.

-Time skip!-

You both had your breakfast and had a normal day, Diluc took this day as a break to spend time with you.

As you spent your time with one another you kept being glad that you didn't have to return back to the station for anything.

Before you knew it, the day was over and you had already woken up to the day after.

Knowing that you have errands to run, you wrote a note on the side table for Diluc telling him that you'll be back in a bit. Although you were unsure of how long this would take...

You quietly sigh to yourself as you threw on your everyday clothes and headed out, saying your goodbyes to the maids and butlers in the winery.

Once you were far enough from anyone's sight, you changed into your fatui attire, making sure your mask was on properly and did what needed to be completed for the higher ups.

You were ordered to take a job for Tartaglia, just making sure someone pays up. If not, then do what has to be done.

You aren't one to willingly handle jobs the way Tartaglia does but, the higher ups prefer that. You just do as you're told to get the job done.

-Time skip!-

"Come on, we know you got the money. Now pay up. We don't have all day here." Your grasp was on the villager's shirt tight, staring at them in the eyes.

"I- I don't have the money... I swear! Please just give me more time... please I'm begging you..." they began to sob.

You huff at their words and actions, tossing them down back onto the ground. "You never learn your lessons huh... tsk tsk tsk. Guess you need a new teaching."

The villager whimpers at the sight of you standing above their shaking body. Sword in your hand, ignited with flames. Eyes smiling, slowly growing with more and more annoyance.

You swung your sword at them but... then you saw a flash of red in front of you. Nothing happened, the villager that was below you was now gone. You and other fatui members looked around confused until you saw long red hair. You quietly gasped to yourself. Oh no.

No no no no no!

Standing before you was Diluc, eyes full of rage. "You dammed fatui..." He swung his claymore at you.

You quickly jumped back to dodge. You're still in complete shock as your breathing grows heavy. You can't speak in case he realizes whos voice it is.

As you frantically looked around while constantly dodging, you gestured at the other fatui without words to retreat before things upscale with Diluc.

You're gonna get a punishment for coming back empty handed... you should request an extra day and excuse it that the resident was not home...
