Bleachers

YOOOOOOOOOOOOO 2K WOO THANK YOU.

George skipped the rest of the week laying in bed and only getting up to eat food and go to the bathroom. He ignored the millions of text messages, dms, discord calls, and the knocks on his door from friends stopping by to check on him. He ignored them no matter how much they begged. Sapnap even tried breaking down the door but his mother stopped him. As much as his mother hates the fact George isn't going to school, she knows he's going through a rough time so she lets him be.

But the next week he's forced to go to school; his teachers are worried for his grades even though George could care less at the moment. He wakes up and trudges to the bathroom like a zombie and stares at himself in the mirror. His brown eyes looked dull with dark eyebags user his eyes, his hair is all over the place and overall he just looked sad. He threw on a random hoodie he found on the floor and a pair of sweatpants. He grabbed his backpack, threw his hood over his face, and walked out the door ignoring the breakfast his mother made for him before going to work.

He just wasn't hungry at the moment.

The walk to school was painfully long, George's thoughts filling his brain to the brim with doubt and anxiety.

He doesn't want to go to the awful place full of people. Specifically one person. Maybe three. Schlatt and Techno scare him too. But Dream currently is scaring him the most.

George arrives at the gates with his head down and makes his way towards his first-period classroom. He enters the classroom and sits down in his seat, waiting for the bell to ring to signal the start of class. Students gradually come into the classroom and take their seats while talking with their friend groups. George often observes and wonders about these friend groups. He could easily tell that the girl across the room with the short green hair, talking to her boyfriend is secretly a lesbian but tries to hide it by getting a boyfriend. Or the other one who sits in front of him has a sympathetic look in her eye knowing her best friend's boyfriend is cheating on her. With the PE teacher. How George knows it's the PE teacher? He saw them. Wasn't a fun sight to see.

George wonders if other people observe his friend group like that. Would they know George likes Dream? Or would they know Tommy actually likes Americans even though he says otherwise? Well, at least some Americans. Some are a little concerning.

George's thoughts are interrupting with Mr. Tdm walking through the door and starting the lesson. Usually, he would enjoy listening to Mr. Tdm rant about how easy it is to forget a single line of code or his cheesy dad jokes. But today was not his day, so he settles for staring out the window; admiring the birds chirping and trees swaying in the breeze. He imagined an alligator riding a horse in the clouds, and thought of amazing comebacks he could've used a long time ago. He didn't pay attention to the fact that the bell had already rung and Mr. Tdm was calling out his name in concern. He just paid attention to the calming sensation of the rustling of trees and slow-moving clouds that came his way. He imagined himself sitting on his bench in the flower fields, flowers swaying in the wind, the trees casting a shadow over his head so he wouldn't have to squint, and he tried to imagine the colors; the green in the leaves, the blue in the sky, the reds, the yellows, the pinks, he tried to imagine all of it. But finally, when you're at your peak of calmness, it gets interrupted.

"Hey George?" Mr. Tdm snaps him out of his thoughts, "you okay there?"

George looked around the classroom to see it completely void of students. He soon realized that class had been over and started packing up.

"Hey umm, sorry about that. I'll be leaving now." George grabbed his stuff and started heading towards the door when Mr. Tdm stopped him,

"Hey, you wanna stay in here for a little bit? You've already missed like half of second period." Mr. Tdm gave him a warm smile when he nodded and George walked back to his desk to stare at the clouds some more.

*Time skip brought to you by, Dream in netherite* (please I miss him in netherite)

George had successfully avoided Dream throughout the day and now it is lunchtime. He didn't want to hang out with his friends because Dream would probably be there, so he headed over to the football field to eat on the bleachers. He climbed up to the very top, which was pretty hard considering he hasn't done PE in forever, and took out his lunch from his backpack. The bleachers were pretty nice to have lunch on; since he was so high up, there was a slight breeze that dried the sweat he gathered on his forehead from climbing up the stair. The commentator booth which was hardly ever used anymore provided some nice shade for George.

George's mom packed his lunch for him today, assuming that George would be too mopey to remember to pack his lunch. He peered into his bag and saw a turkey sandwich, limon chips, chocolate chip cookies, and a lemonade. George smiled at his mother's kindness. Even though she made him go to this stupid school with stupid people, he appreciated her motherly kindness. She had always been there for him whilst his father wasn't, even with her working all the time, she still made time for him. Yeah he missed out on all the experiences a son has with their father, but a little daddy issues don't hurt nobody. Well, maybe it does a little.

His thoughts of his mother were interrupted by the clanking of metal from someone's shoes heading towards the top of the bleachers.

Bitch walk quieter I'm tryna eat in peace.

The clanking got louder and George finally looked up to see the bitch who was interrupting his lunch. His eyes widened as he saw the familiar green hoodie moving towards him.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck. How do I get out.

Dream's figure slowly got closer and George started to pack his stuff into his bag. George got an idea that could work. It was very risky, but it was worth the try. George stood up and put his backpack on and walked to the very end of the set of bleachers. Dream noticed him going to the side and started walking to the side too. George hurriedly stood up on the bleachers and went down them one by one. Dream started speed walking to the stairs again. He walked down the stairs two at a time until he got a few rows ahead of George to stop him. George was still going down the bleachers but they were very slippery and he tripped a few times, but thankfully he caught himself each time. He attempted to go faster at going down the bleachers in hopes to get ahead of Dream but his football ass kept up with him. Which was a good thing because he was there to be his knight in shining armor. George's shoe didn't catch enough traction the bleacher and he slipped into the air like Charlie Brown. Thankfully in the 2 point something amount of seconds he was in the air, Dream speedran his way towards George and caught him.

George blinked a couple of times in shock as he slowly regained his barring. Dream set him down on his two feet and George took a few steps back.

"Hey." Dream greeted.

George blinked and looked around for an escape from this horrible conversation. He had three options,

One: Go down the bleachers again and possibly die.

Two: Jump off the bleachers

Three: Run down the stairs like a normal person.

He chose three.

George ran towards the staircase and used the handrail to swing himself down the stairs. He ran down two at a time like the god he was and made it down to the halfway pathway until Dream caught up to him.

He wanted to cry.

"George," Dream said in all the seriousness in the world, "we need to talk."
