Huaze Lei
"Huaze Lei!" Meizuo spoke in a hushed tone as we spoke in the music room I had claimed to do rehearsals with Faye once she arrived from her research. It was more me rehearsing my part since she is still in a cast. Currently, I was here with Meizuo knowing I needed to tell someone within F4 before Ximen found out. "Ximen is going to kill you. I can't believe you've gotten her pregnant."
"We didn't do this on purpose, Meizuo." I sighed frustrated and continued to feel stressed, because Faye hasn't said a word to me after I left the room after seeing her in the hospital. That was almost three weeks ago. The rest of the winter break I worried for her wondering if she's doing alright. "I wasn't expecting to hear from Faye's father that she's pregnant. Do you have any idea how uncomfortable that conversation I had with Mr.Calinao? I'm the one who got her pregnant and she doesn't remember our entire relationship."
"Lei..."
"It's the fact that Ximen loves his best friend and I was guilty for dating her then breaking our relationship to cause this incident."
"Huaze Lei, no one is blaming you for her accident."
"It could have been prevented."
"We don't know that. Look," Meizuo sighed. "The only thing you can do is be patient. It's terrible she has a gap in her memory, but maybe you can make new memories with her. She fell in love with you in the end and no one else, I think you should try talking to her again now that she has had a few weeks."
"She's avoiding me."
"You know her more than any of us. Give her some more time if she isn't ready. I'm concerned about what will happen when you tell Ximen. I can't begin to think of his reaction. There's no way Ah Si and I can help you on this."
"I'm most worried for Faye. She trusts Ximen and I don't want what happened in Sanya or when Ah Si was being difficult to her. I don't want her to emotionally go through that again."
"She won't be able to hide her stomach for long, Lei. Everyone is going to know within the next few months. It's better for him to know before the rest of the school does." I knew Meizuo was right. "Though Ximen may break your arm, on the other hand, I'm actually excited for you and Faye. I hope everything will work out and I think your child will be very cute."
"My child..." I said lightly. I never thought I'd be thinking so soon of being a... father.
"You're going to have a kid," Meizuo smiled lightly, attempting to lighten my stress. "I never thought Huaze Lei of all of us would first have a child. Under these circumstances, there is no doubt, you will be a great father. Faye I am sure will make a great mother. Speaking of Faye..." Meizuo looked around the room. "Shouldn't she be here?"
"I'm not completely sure if she will show. She hasn't responded to my texts about doing rehearsals together since she was discharged. Cha was telling me towards the end of break they decided to take her to Korea for a week before coming back to Shanghai. She arrived the day before yesterday."
"Ah... that would make sense. Her posts on Weibo explains where she has been. I did not want to intrude when you and Ximen never showed on Christmas Day. Before Ximen told me of what happened, I thought you and Faye were going through an argument. I wasn't expecting to hear she was in an accident and couldn't remember her entire semester with us. Maybe with Ah Si bringing Shancai to his birthday gathering, maybe that would be a perfect time to tell Ximen."
"Possibly..." my phone vibrates against the piano and I walked over to see Gu Weiyi's name on the screen. I answered knowing he wasn't fond of me since the break up. "Weiyi," I said.
"Lei..." I heard him from the other end. "Faye isn't going to make it to your rehearsal tonight. She's not feeling well and Sito Mo has already sent her to rest in her room." Feeling alarmed to know she isn't feeling well was worrying. I knew I couldn't let her face this alone, especially if no one else knew.
"I'm on my way." I turned towards my violin case to close it.
"Last I remembered, you broke up with her. There's no need for you to come here. Sito Mo and I are capable of taking care of her." I could hear the protectiveness in his tone. Lee was the same way after finding out what happened before her accident.
"A mistake and misunderstanding on my part." I took my things and began making my way out. Meizuo follows behind as I wait for Weiyi's argument.
"A mistake? She was a mess after you broke up with her and left her alone at the cabin. You'd think that knowing a lot about her history and being the one who kept her together, you'd have thought about that before breaking her heart. You're as toxic as Ximen and Meizuo. Your entire group is."
"Don't start with my friends," I warned. "Faye is as much as a part of this group. We will look after her no matter what our relationship status is."
"She wouldn't be in this situation now if you hadn't left her or even broken up with her. You're lucky it's a broken arm and a memory gap."
"I'll be there in fifteen minutes. After all you called me." Before Weiyi could argue further, I ended the call. I looked to Meizuo who figured what I was up to. We parted our different ways in the parking lot going in directions once we were off campus.

"Hauze Lei?" Sito Mo questioned as she opened the door. She invited me in and I took my shoes off as she walked further into the apartment. I looked to see Senior Yu Yin and Weiyi cleaning up in the living room. Weiyi looked towards me, giving me a disapproving look.
"She's in Sito Mo's room," Yu Yin spoke calmly. "She wanted to lay down." I nod thanking her before making my way over to the room on the right. Before opening the door, I gently knocked on the door before opening the door.
Closing the door behind me, I looked around the dark room and waited for my eyes to adjust. The bed just to the left, I walked to the other side and noticed Faye already under the covers. Slowly walking over to her, I made sure to keep a distance. She stirred slightly before opening her eyes. She seemed to take a moment to recognize who I was.
"Huaze Lei?" She questioned in confusion. "Wh-what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to make sure you were alright," I spoke softly. "And... the baby." I heard her take an intake of breath before making eye contact with me.
"We're okay. I was beginning to feel a bit nauseous with the smell of alcohol after a while."
"Do you want me to take you back to Ximen's?" She shook her head.
"I don't want Ximen to ask questions. My morning sickness has started," she spoke glumly and I sighed worried she was doing this alone.
"I don't want you to face this alone Faye." She had a look of uncertainty as she continued to stare at me.
"I don't want to go through this alone either," she spoke quietly. I sat on the edge of the bed and she moved back slightly to give me more room.
"I won't let you go through this alone Faye. I hope in time, you'll be comfortable around me again and trust me. I know right now with your memory missing, it must be a terrifying and confusing time for you." If anyone could sense how Faye was feeling right now, it would be me. "I never wanted to break up with you and cause you a lot of pain. It was a mistake on my part after... a conversation I had with Ximen." I decided to be honest with her now. I've already caused a lot of damage.
"Conversation with Ximen?" She questioned.
"Yes..."
"What were you talking about with Ximen when you had ended things between us?"
