Early Morning

"I'm excited for you Faye!" Senior Yu Yin beamed as she held my hand so she could observe my engagement ring. Gu Weiyi sat on the stool next to her with his arms folded with a neutral look.

"You and Lei must have taken the time yesterday to spend together then," Gu Weiyi smiled slightly. "Congratulations."

"Thank you," I spoke shyly.

"We were surprised when you wanted to video call the other night," Senior Yu Yin smiled and glanced towards Weiyi. "We found out not too long ago that Lei was preparing to propose to you around graduation time."

"I'm still in shock that he has been thinking about marriage all together."

"And Ximen... I saw he was there. He reposted your post from last night. I'm sure everyone here and your music fans must be in shock."

"He even posted himself congratulating you and Lei..." Gu Weiyi pointed out. "I'm confused?"

"He's... I'm not really sure," I shrugged. "I think he's trying to make amends after calming down?"

"You're not going to forgive him? Are you?" Senior asked and folded her arms. "He has put you through so much and we've taken you to the hospital on his account!"

"I agree with Senior. He has caused you a lot of trouble and pain," Gu Weiyi sighed, having a feeling what was coming. I bit my lip knowing my friends are going to disagree with me.

"Ximen is someone who is a part of my life. You know he's important."

"He's going to continue to hurt you Faye," Senior Yu Yin sighed.

"Is he going to be there at the baby shower next week? I don't think I can be there if he's going to be there, Faye," Gu Weiyi spoke.

"I-I'm not really sure yet," I spoke softly. "That evening was really the evening I really spoke to him. I'm meeting him in a few minutes to spend the morning with him."

"You're spending the morning with him now?" Gu Weiyi frowned. "Seriously Faye. I think you should really try to stay away from him. You have Lei, Meizuo, and Doaming Si, but I'm still skeptical about him with your past. You should really try to stay away from their drama as much as you can." My phone vibrated on the table and I saw a text from Ximen.

Ximen: Morning Faye, Ah Si told me I'm spending the morning with you? I'm downstairs in the lobby of the science building. I don't think your friends will appreciate me coming to the lab

"I have to go," I spoke lightly. Both Senior Yu Yin and Gu Weiyi looked at me completely against going.

"With him? I thought we were going to hangout today since you don't have rehearsal?"

"I know," I spoke guiltily. "It was a favor Doaming Si did for me and today is Ximen's birthday. I haven't celebrated his birthday since I was a freshman in high school."

"Fine," Senior Yu Yin said and stood from the stool and walked over to her seat in the lab. Gu Weiyi shook his head in disappointment before walking over to Yu Yin. "Don't call us if Ximen decides to do something stupid again." I sighed before taking my bag and making my way out of the lab. "She has already run away after what he did on Friday!" I heard Senior Yu Yin yelling at Weiyi.

I turned away and made my way down the hall. Once reaching the stairs, I took a deep breath going down. I looked through the lobby and spotted Ximen sitting down at one of the sofas near the big glass windows. Slowly, I made my way over to him.
