Touya and Hiraku were quietly playing in Touya's room after they finished doing their school works. But that silence was then ended with the twos constant bickering.
"Your smiley faces are ugly," Hiraku said with narrowed eyes. "Why'd you have to draw it?"
"That's just rude!" Touya gasped dramatically with his hand on his chest.
"I'm just saying the truth," she stated as she continued to color her paper. "But I'll let it pass cause I'm nice."
Touya deadpanned at the seven year old. She could be so sassy sometimes. He frowned when he saw her color his hair white. Hiraku looked at him and saw his frown.
"What's wrong Tou?"
"My hair looked a lot cooler when it was still red," he answered the girl who only tilted her head in confusion. "White hair is lame."
"But Tsou-kun, Fu-chan, and Kaa-san have white hair," Hiraku started with a raised eyebrow. "Does that mean they're lame?"
"It's only lame when it's me," he exclaimed as he looked at the purple crayon on his hand. Now it was Hiraku's turn to frown.
"I don't think you're lame," she convinced him again. Before he could protest she had already beat him to it. "I think you're the coolest person I know. Even more cool than All Might and Oto."
He raised his head to look at Hiraku, but she was already back to crouching on her paper. Touya smiled at her direction. Silently thanking the girl for her kindness. He would do everything for her. And he was sure that he'd go crazy if he lost her. She was one of the last thing that's keeping him in that house.
"Ta-da!" Hiraku happily exclaimed as she raised her finished drawing at Touya. "Do you like it?"
Touya eyed the childish drawing with a hand on his chin, trying to act like an art critic. Hiraku giggled at Touya's silliness. "It needs a little something." He took the paper and scribbled on it using his purple crayon. Hiraku tilted her head as she waited. "Here."
She inspected the paper after Touya handed it to her. "You spelled sky wrong."
"What? No I didn't," Touya said as he looked at the paper as well. "It's not wrong. It's Skye."
"No it's not," Hiraku argued. "Besides, my name is Hiraku. Not Skye."
"It's your nickname," he stated as she raised an eyebrow. "Cause your eyes are like the sky."
"But your eyes look like the sky too."
"Well, we can't both be Skye can we?" He asked pointing his crayon at her sassily. She rolled her eyes as she grabbed a blue crayon and scribbled on the paper as well. Touya raised his eyebrow at what she wrote. "Cloud?"
"Cause your hair's like a cloud," she proudly said, her hands on her hips.
"That's dumb," he retorted. She scowled at him. "And you spelled it wrong."
"No I didn't. Hey—" she glared at the boy who scribbled on her paper. "There's only one d in cloud."
"Nope. There's two."
"Aren't you supposed to be older than me?" she asked him. Touya only shook his head as he grabbed the paper.
"I'll take this as a token of our love," he blurted as he placed it in one of his books.
"You're so dumb."
.
"You're so warm Tou," Hiraku said as she embraced the man. He remained motionless as she let him go. "Sorry. I couldn't help it."
He looked away and instead looked around the room. The lights were off, but the moonlight seeped in through her window providing adequate lighting. He knew that this was her room. He held back a chuckle at the still messy girl.
"Your room is messy," he muttered. He knew that she had always been messy since they were kids. She would always say that—
"It's an organized mess."
He smirked at the girl. "I see you haven't changed."
Hiraku smiled at the man's smirk. "Maybe."
"Now, what do you want from me?" He asked nonchalantly. He wasn't threatened anymore, because he knew that she could never hurt him. "Is it about the deal? I'd still do it since you could tell everyone about my identi—"
"I'd never do that," she honestly proclaimed. "If you want me to keep your identity a secret, I'd do it."
He eyed her quietly, trying to see whether she was lying. He knew that she would glance away if she was lying but Hiraku was staring at him as well. He sat on her bed as he sighed. "What do you want from me then?"
"I just wanted to know if you were oka—"
"I'm great," He interrupted. She pursed her lips, not used to Touya acting like a different person. "Anything else?"
"Tou I—"
"Would you cut that out!?" He exclaimed as he stood up harshly. He stomped towards the girl. Hiraku raised her head at the towering man, his eyes shining dangerously. In the dim lighting she thought that his eyes still looked as beautiful as before. "I'm Dabi. Touya is dead."
"He's not," she quietly said, still looking at the man like he was everything to her. He hated that look. She raised her palm to touch his scarred cheek, but he turned away before she could. "Touya is right in front of me."
He laughed mockingly at the girl. "Look at me," he said as he glared down at the girl. "Do I look like Touya to yo—"
"Yes," she cut him off. "You're still Touya. You're my Tou."
His glare at the girl intensified, but she only continued to look at him lovingly. "I'm your Tou?" he asked harshly then he laughed mockingly again. "Seriously? Cut the crap Hiraku! If you loved me you wouldn't have left me!" Her eyes widened at his declaration. She opened her mouth to answer but closed it again. She didn't know what to say. He turned away harshly as he stared at the moon. He didn't want to look at her. "If you loved me then you wouldn't have left us."
"Tou I—"
"After you left, we couldn't talk to Shoto anymore. And then that damned man started hurting Mom." Hiraku knew he was talking about Endeavor. She knew after getting some of her memories back. She knew. "And then he stopped acknowledging us. He focused all his wrath to Shoto and Mom. We couldn't do anything. And then Mom hurt Shoto. And he fucking blamed her for being the reason why she went nuts!"
She wanted to reach out and comfort him, but she knew Touya. And she knew that he'd rather have her listen to him than comfort him with useless words.
"And after Mom left, I couldn't take it. I loved my siblings I really did, but they didn't know. They didn't know how painful it was for me to stay in that damned house without Mom." He slowly turned to look at her. His eyes didn't look angry anymore, instead they only looked sad. "Without you."
She couldn't help but let her tears fall as she held back a sob using her hand. He turned away again and sat on her bed. His back to her. He didn't want to look at her crying face. Because he knew that if he did then he wouldn't be able to hold back. She gulped as she slowly walked closer to Dabi, stopping when she was an arm's length away.
"Do you hate me?" He grit his teeth at her statement. He could hear the sadness seeping through her tone. "Do you hate me Tou?"
He stopped holding back as he harshly stood up and turned around to embrace Hiraku. "Never,"he whispered into her ear.
She cried even more at his words. She squeezed the man as she sobbed on his chest. "I'm so sorry! I'm sorry Tou!"
