After everything had calmed down, Endeavor had been wheeled to the hospital, and Miruko left just as soon as she arrived. Hiraku did not really need to go to the hospital, since her quirk had already healed her. All she needed was rest and food.
"Can we get any statements from you, Asra?" Hiraku grinned awkwardly, a burger on one hand and a milkshake in another. She had just left a nearby restaurant and she did not expect a dozen reporters who had gathered outside for her.
She knew she should have left the area as soon as the other heroes left. She cursed herself again for her stupidity.
"Uhmm, I'm sorry, but I don't think I can say anything at the moment," Hiraku answered, hiding her food behind her. "Yeah, bye guys!"
She teleported to a nearby abandoned building, sighing in relief at her successful escape. She raised an arm to bite into her burger as she looked around the building. Her eyebrows furrowed when she heard familiar voices inside.
Hiraku crept slowly in front of the building, using her portal, she stood by an upper window. She placed her food away and peered inside the window. Her eyes widened at the sight before her.
"That was different from what we'd discussed." She saw Hawks standing in front of Dabi, threatening him with a sword.
"Is that so?"
"I was hoping we'd get along better than this, Dabi." A million thoughts ran inside Hiraku's head. The word 'traitor' echoing inside her head.
She shook her head, she knew that Hawks was the least person to betray her, so he must have an explanation.
"Oh? I thought you only had weak feathers left."
"Well I can't exactly meet with a liar unarmed. The plan was for tomorrow at the factory on the coast. Not in the middle of the damn city." Hiraku glanced at the two back and forth. "Not to mention that Nomu. It was on a completely different level from the ones we've seen so far. I'd prefer you to tell me those things in advance."
"I changed my mind," Dabi replied, smirking. "Did I forget to mention it would be a test of the Nomu's abilities? My bad.
"But I wasn't the only one who acted outside of the plan, now was I? You said you'd 'send some random strong guy', but sending the no.1 hero and Asra doesn't exactly make for a good test. Did that ever occur to you?"
"Well hey, it did some serious damage to the no.1, you should be happy." Hiraku grimaced at Hawks' statement. "I haven't broken my promise. You're the only one who went back on his word."
"But it's even more unreasonable for you to think that I'd just trust the no.2 hero right of the bat. So this was also a test to see if you were trustworthy." Dabi turned his head towards the window, Hiraku's eyes widened when they made eye contact. He smirked and turned to Hawks. "Because Asra was there, today's little event got resolved with zero deceased. It's hard to believe someone who sympathized with our cause and requested to cooperate with us would act in such a way."
"I've got to keep up appearances. Asra just joined Endeavor's agency and requested to accompany us. I can't afford to lose the faith that's been placed in me as a hero." Hiraku's eyes widened again. She knew that Hawks was the one who asked her to go with them. She was really confused. "The more confidence everyone has in me, the more valuable the information I'll receive. And that information is beneficial for you all. You should really be looking at the big picture here.
"Everything I do, I do for the League, Dabi."
Dabi walked away from Hawks and said, "Well.. I still won't let you meet the boss for the time being, but.. I'll contact you again, Hawks."
Hiraku scrambled in her position, knowing Dabi was approaching in her direction, she was about to teleport when a hand grabbed her wrist.
"You shouldn't be here, Ku," Dabi whispered in her ear. "That was something you shouldn't have heard."
Hiraku looked at Dabi with furrowed eyebrows, then she shook her head and said, "I won't say anything, Tou."
Dabi smirked at her lazily, ruffling her hair before leaving. She stared at his back, her mind clouded with confusing thoughts. She peered back inside, seeing Hawks still standing there.
She jumped down, walking inside the building.
"You forgot somethi-- Azuley!?"
Hiraku looked at Hawks grimly, her arms crossed as the man stood frozen in his spot.
"What did you get yourself into, Keigo?" she asked, already knowing the answers. "You really have a death wish, don't you?"
"Azuley, I can explai--"
Hiraku shook her head as Hawks walked towards her.
"Did the hero comission ask you to infiltrate the League?" Hawks stopped in front of her. His eyes wide. "You did, didn't you?"
Hawks nodded slowly, looking at his feet and saying, "I'm trading information on both sides."
Hiraku face-palmed and murmured under her breath, "You idiot."
Hawks scratched his head and said, "I thought you'd think I was a traitor, Azuley."
"Tch. I'd never think that, Keigo." Hiraku looked at him with a pout. "I know you better than anyone. And I know you would never betray me."
Hawks grinned, grabbing Hiraku to embrace her. She hugged him back, her arms tightening around his torso.
"I'll be fine, Azuley."
Hiraku trusted him. She knew that he would be fine, but that did not mean she would not worry. So with a heavy heart, she nodded her head.
