After teasing Katsuki some more, she had finally left the dorms. The first destination she had was her home.Hiraku almost got lost twice, since she had no idea where she lived without her portals. She was also fortunate that no one recognized her.
Everyone but her classmates still thought she was dead, so every person she met on the streets dismissed her as someone who looked like the recently deceased hero. None of them would have thought that she had survived and was currently alive.
Hiraku opened the gate to their house, her legs wobbly from all the walking she had done. She also had a raging headache that had not left ever since she woke up.
She raised an eyebrow at the quiet hallway once she was inside.
"Jii-san?" she called out, closing the door behind her.
Hiraku wandered around the barren house for awhile, scratching her head in annoyance at the lack of company. She did not really know whether she missed her home, because even though it had been a few weeks since she left, to her it only felt like a day or two. She was suddenly broken out of her thoughts at the sound of a door opening.
She quietly walked toward the sound, halting when she finally saw her Jii-san. She could not help but wince in her head, her Jii-san looked even worse than before. She did not think he could get even skinnier, and yet he had reached far more than her expectations.
She felt sorry. She had done this to the man. If only she was strong enough to save Target. If only she was fast enough to teleport out of there. If only she had watched her surroundings mo--
"Hira?" All Might's eyes widened at the sight of his niece. He blinked once, twice, then he rubbed his eyes quickly, but she did not disappear.
"I'm home, Jii-san." Hiraku ran toward her uncle as the man quickly met her into a tight hug. "I'm sorry for worrying everyone."
All Might furrowed his eyes in confusion, saying, "Why are you apologizing, Hiraku? There is no reason for you to apologize."
Hiraku nodded as she buried her teary eyes into her uncle's chest. They cried for a few minutes, sitting down on the couch when Hiraku's wounds started to ache. All Might had told her to change and clean herself so she did.
She carefully washed herself and changed her bandages herself as well. Then she changed into some short shorts and her red hoodie, which was in her boyfriend's possession all this time. And after slipping on her fluffy slippers, she went downstairs.
She had not even reached the living room when she was suddenly engulfed into a tight and bouncy hug.
"Hira-chan! I missed you!" Hiraku's cheeks reddened as Midnight tightened her grip on Hiraku, causing the girl to suffocate into the woman's chest. "You have scared us to death my dear Hira! But I should have known that the tenacity of your soul is much much greate–"
"Nemuriii!! Let lil' Kuku go!" Hiraku felt instant relief at the sound of Present Mic's voice, she thought she would be saved from her suffocation. But that was not the case at all, because as soon as Midnight let her go Present Mic grabbed the girl. "Lil' Kuku! I seriously thought I lost ya!"
Hiraku could only close her eyes in defeat, accepting her fate of dying from asphyxiation. Midnight had now joined the two, suffocating the girl even more. She could not even register the pain on her body from the dizziness.
"seriously, you guys. you're really going to kill the girl for real." Hiraku gasped loudly as Aizawa pulled the two off the girl using his scarf.
"Shotaaa!" Aizawa shook his head as he grabbed the girl into a tight embrace as well, but unlike the first two, it was more gentle.
"geez, you crazy kid. you scared me." His words were short and almost seemed cold, but the way his voice broke and trembled. Hiraku knew that Aizawa had been the most scared out of the three.
When they finally sat down, Hiraku glued on Aizawa's side, which the man shrugged off as not letting her get suffocated again, Hiraku told them everything.
She did not spare any details, even including the details of all the visions she has had. She knew they were disappointed at her, but she did not care anymore. She did not wanna lie.
She cried again when they told her they understood her. She did not think that anyone would forgive her just like that. But she had also forgotten that the people inside that room were her family. And family loved one another. They accepted one another and understood one another.
Hiraku did not know what she had done in her past life to have such a family. A family that she had not been related in blood, but had cared for her like she was their own.
But what Hiraku did not notice quickly was that someone was missing. She thought that maybe her uncle merely forgot to invite them. She quickly wiped her tears, sniffling softly as she faced her uncle.
"Jii-san, where's Mirai-san?" Hiraku had noticed instantly how everyone's shoulder sunk. Her eyes widened in horror as she shook her head frantically. "No. No.. No! You can't! This-- He's just late, right? Jii-san! Please tell me he's just late!"
"I am very sorry but," All Might said solemnly, his head down, " Nighteye is dead, Hira."
As soon as the words left her uncle's mouth, something inside Hiraku died. It was like someone had ripped her heart out as she stood there motionless. Her eyes open and unblinking.
No words left her mouth, the raging headache she had intensified into a hot seering pain. It was painful, but the pain she felt in her head could not compare to the pain in her chest.
She had not even noticed her eyes blurring, her body finally giving out as everything turned to black.
