Chapter 50

Chase POV
I was in the cabin with Marshall and Rubble in the living room couch. I just watch Marshall checking up on Rubble. So far nothing to bad, just some bruises.

Marshall: "Good nothing that bad just needs ice and rest"

Rubble: "Thanks Marshall, can't believe she's punch me after everything I've done for her, ugh can't wait to leave here"

I was happy Rubble wanted to come back with us but-but a part of me felt ashamed, not to Rubble but ashamed of myself. Why do I feel that way I should feel great Rubble's coming home but why do I felt shameful.

Marshall: "Rubble don't be so hard on her, she-she's been through a lot and you know it"

Rubble: "I know but why did she think I was being mean to her, I care about her with all my heart but she just threw it away"

Chase: "Who knows love is weird man"

Rubble: "I just don't get why would she want to stay here, this place has been nothing but hell for her"

Chase: "Maybe this is the place where she feel safe, you know with her father gone she really don't have any place to go"

Rubble: "Why can't she lived back in Adventure Bay with us, she's an expert in animals and nature like Captain Turbot"

Chase: "Oh uhhh (lied) maybe she don't feel comfortable coming with us, maybe she convinced herself that it's best to stay here"

Rubble: "Still though that doesn't make sense she would have listen to me it's like someone mess with her mind"

Marshall then look at me quickly and I slowly look away trying not to give Marshall any ideas but I could tell he knows.

Rubble: "Well whatever to late now, she's wants to stay here fine let her stay here, I-I don't need her"

I could hear the sadness in his voice he really didn't mean that. He truly cared about her after all she was his first love. But it's best for you Rubble.

Marshall: "Um Rubble why don't you rest up me and Chase will get the ice in the kitchen fridge"

Rubble: "Ok thanks again Marshall"

Me and Marshall both headed towards the kitchen fridge I was about to grab a chair to climb on but Marshall stop me.

Marshall: "Chase I know you talk to Jane last night, I know that was the plan but look at him"

Chase: "Marshall it's best for him for all of us"

Marshall: "What about Jane is she really staying here by herself again"

Chase: "It's up to her but not us if she likes stay she can stay, it's her choice"

Marshall: "But seriously look at Rubble he looks so heart broken right now"

Chase: "Once we get home Marshall with all of us he'll feel better in no time"

I push the chair towards the fridge open the freezer and grab an ice pack while Marshall holds the chair for me.

Marshall: "It's doesn't feel right to me Chase"

Chase: "We have to do bad things for good reason Marshall remember it's best for Rubble"

Marshall starred at floor still unsure, I hop off the chair and then put it back. Next me and Marshall both walk back to Rubble and give him the ice pack. He place it on his bruise and gave us a thankful smile.

Rubble: "Thanks"

Chase: "Anytime"

Rubble: "But-but you should also check on Jane too, of course I did hurt her too"
