"Channie, can I talk to you for a second?" Donghyuck turned to find Taeil standing by the couch. Donghyuck nodded while Doyoung added a quick 'see you later' before heading out the door. Taeil sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to him, inviting Donghyuck to join him. What? How did he already know? Does he even know? What is he's going to scold me? Oh my gos... "...hyuck, Donghyuck!" Donghyuck looked up to Taeil calling him.
"Yes hyung?" Donghyuck tried to act confident and not show how nervous he really was but he was sure his shaky hands were giving that away. A small smiles place on his face as he looked into Taeil's eyes.
" are you ok? You seemed to space out a little bit." Donghyuck gulped, they weren't supposed to know already, or were they? Donghyuck didn't know. What he didn't know, however, was that Taeil was making this affection less thing harder when he looked at him with concern and held his hand. Gosh why is this so hard? Why can't this be easier? Donghyuck cursed Jaemin in his head for suggesting this knowing how he is.
"Don't worry hyung, I just didn't get much sleep last night. I was up playing games and must have lost track of time. The hours of practice didn't really help much either" a short laugh came out of Donghyuck after he said that. He praised himself for saying that so clearly and confidently.
"Donghyuck, why wouldn't you go to sleep? You know we are getting ready to go on tour and we have to be focused. You need to start sleeping" Taeil scolded. He looked a little frustrated with Donghyuck but he knew Taeil didn't mean anything bad by what he said. Donghyuck did need to start focusing. They were getting ready to go on tour in America which is always the most stressful for them. There wasn't any room for mess ups.
" i'm sorry, I didn't think about it. It won't happen again, promise" Donghyuck didn't know what to say. The reason for his spacing out was a lie and he really was tired from not sleeping the night before. His mind was working in overdrive to scramble with something reasonable to give to him. Donghyuck was met with a side and looked up to see Taeil shaking his head. The hand left Donghyuck's hold and he couldn't help but to be sad about it. A moment of pure bliss, gone in an instant and it took everything in him to not reach for it back. Taeil stood up and reach for the door but looked back at Donghyuck.
"Hyuck, I know you're the youngest, but you can't keep acting like a child. You're in 127 for a reason. It's time to grow up and be responsible with the choices you make." With that Taeil left the room leaving Donghyuck by himself willing the tears away.
I'm sorry Taeil, I'll be better I promise. I won't let you down...
