chris looked at alondra as she smiled up at kyle .. he wanted a reaction to what he said but didn't get it ..

alondra: why don't me and natalia set the table up while you guys go outside and talk or the living room beers are in the fridge babe

kyle: come on Chris

she didn't react to him saying girlfriend but he felt a sting to her calling him babe .. kyle grabbed them a beer and walked with him outside to the balcony ..

kyle: so I heard you wanted to meet me so desperately? well we're here sitting down across from each other whats up?

he opened the beer and sat down ..

chris: yall serious?

kyle: well we barely made things official I'm respecting her wishes on taking things slow so that's where things are

chris: do you guys work together how long have you known her?

kyle laughed and took a drink and looked at him

kyle: Chris you guys arent together I understand the children situation and that I totally respect I would never cross a boundary i haven't met them we see each other either at work if we have a chance or on her days off or the days you have the children .. I'm not your replacement you are there father I'm dating alondra

chris: thank you for respecting that but I can sense my kids are safe here she isn't stupid she knows I'm a call away or my brother

he nodded

kyle: then what is it you don't like about me? the fact I'm dating her? because natalia is a beautiful women she looks so happy holding your hand

chris: I'm happy with her but me and alondra have a long history we where together since we where 14 and 15 broke up at 18 i was in prison i got out and its been all over since then i think seeingher move and be happy so quickly messes me up but i just want her happy too she deserves that ..

kyle: i understand the history that can sting but look we're just in the first stages things can not work we might continue as friends no one knows what the future has in hand you should just let her be her let her be happy live her life she is a wonderful mother the kids are always first the story shes told me and the pictures she has all over her office .. but i also could tell how nervous she was for you too come over to meet me how she wanted it all perfect how warned me about the slightest things? i don't have issues with you i just want you to know what I've seen i don't wanna make you mad

kyle: i was raised with divorced parents that hated each other my dad had control of everything my mother never dated outta fear of my father once got successful and moved her far away from him she was able to be happy again .. do better for the mother of your children chris will we get married who knows i just want to make her happy push her to do good things better things because shes already doing good on her own

chris sat back nodded ..

natalia opened the sliding door

she smiled and closed it

kyle; i know this was all a lot but are we good? we ok? i don't wanna cause an argument between you too?

chris: no you opened my eyes if anything thank you your a nice guy

kyle nodded and got up and walked inside .. chris could tell something was off about him ..

chris- we're having dinner with her new man and i swear somethings off

xavier- she showed me a picture of him don't hate on the guy cuz he can dress up professional fool haha let her do her thing forreals

chris- the clothing is something but the way he talks and sits and acts i don't know the vibe

alondra: yea saulitos turning one chris we have to sit down to plan things out? your moms going all out already haha

chris: let her haver her fun she always threw the best birthday parties but dam a year then babygirl will be next naw i cant handle it haha

natalia: they grow up quick just have to enjoy it babe

alondra: once i have everything set ill send you the info so you can bring your lil ones

she smiled at her .. the dinner went well as the night came to an end chris pulled alondra to the kitchen

alondra: it hurts because it was suppose to be us together but you have to remember how it was and it wasn't healthy ..i can tell you treat her better you seem happier and healthier too you drank one beer which is good it hurts but its for the best for the kids we might not be together but i still love you I'm always here for you too
