Alejandro's Point Of View

"She drank an entire bottle of sleeping pills, suddenly her head started hurting badly, and all of the sudden she fainted." I ran to the nurses as they took Camila and placed her on the bed and rushed her to the emergency room.

The doctor came up to me, Daniel, my close friend. "Daniel, make sure she's okay please," I said to him and he gave me a reassuring nod before quickly going into the emergency room.

My heart was beating fast as I sat in the waiting room, pacing back and forth all around the room.

She looked so pale and out of color when I saw her, the way she sobbed in my arms broke me, it broke me to her that way. Why was she hurting herself?

Was she doing this because of me? What was she going through? I barely knew anything about her. "Sir please fill this chart," the nurse said to me, I looked at the paper and my head went blank, all of these questions, blood types, I just realized I barely knew a thing about my wife.

"Nurse Cassandra, I'll handle that," I hear someone say, I looked to the side and saw a doctor, "Hi, Mr. Huxley, I am Doctor Massimo Harrison Bianchi, your wife's close friend, I'll fill that up for you," He said and took the chart and started filling it up.

Massimo Bianchi, never heard of it before but it must be true since Camila was a doctor, yet not at this hospital.

"Hi, Alejandro Huxley, nice to meet you," I tell him and shake his hand, "I know you very well, your wife has told me a lot about you," He said and I smiled, "I hope they are good things," I tell him and he chuckled.

"Indeed they are, she is so proud of you," Massimo replied and was finally done with the chart, "Where is she now?" He asked and I pointed at the emergency room, "I'll go and lend a hand, and I'll inform you, what's happening, just wait here." He said and I nodded.

The guy swiftly walked into the room and it gave some sort of faith, he seemed like an untrustworthy man, knowing he and Daniel would do their best to save Camila.

"Mio figlio," I hear Mama's voice echo, I looked at the entrance and saw her and Papa, they walked up to me and gave me a tight hug.

"Where's my dear Camila?" Mama asked worriedly, she said clutching my tux as she stared me in the eye, "She's in the ER," I said and she covered her mouth and gasped, "Lord, I hope she's doing okay," She said as she looked at Papa who hugged her.

"Daniel's doing his best, don't worry," I reassured her, she gave me a nod as we made our way to the waiting area.

We just sat there, Mama and Papa kept talking yet all I did was stay silent, I couldn't stop fidgeting with my hand as the only thing my head could think about was if Camila was going to be okay.

Daniel suddenly came out of the ER and approached me, I stood up and he looked at me and sighed.

"Your wife is suffering with such pain because of how much the pills she took, as well as her lack of eating, she's pale and skinny, yet we have her the fluids that she needs we just hope that she'll wake up soon, Daniel said, I was confused, I knew she was a busy person but the Camila I knew when we got married she loved to eat.

Suddenly Massimo walked up to us, from another room, "Mr. Huxley, may I speak to you?" He said and I nodded, Mama and Papa approached Daniel to ask more questions as both and Massimo walked to a corner.

"Did you know that Camila was an anorexic patient back then?" He said and I was stunned, I've never known that, I shook my head.

"She suffered from anorexia when she was 14 to 17, she had overcome it just a few years back but I believe now it's back, I've talked to some of her friends and I've heard that she hasn't been eating at all lately, Alejandro when she wakes up I believe we should get her the help she needs," Massimo said to me, I didn't understand, why didn't she tell me this, why didn't anyone tell me this.

"Yes, please, all the help she needs, I'm willing to accept," I told him, he gave a nod and smiled before leaving me. I can't believe that Camila was been through so much.

I looked at Mama who was pacing back and forth in the waiting room, "Mama she'll be okay," I said to her and embraced her, papa patted my back as I reassured Mama, that  Camila would be fine. "I want to know what the doctor said, what happened to her?" She said to me and I shook my head, "Mama, I'll tell you tomorrow, when we've already settled things for now me and Camila need to fix our relationship," I told her, she frowned yet I knew she understood.

"You should go home, she'll be waking up soon, I want to be here when she does," I tell them, Mama shakes her head, yet Papa gives her the look.

"Fine, but I'll be visiting tomorrow, you take care of my Camila, alright? I'll tell the maids to bring you and Camila clothes." Mama said and embraced me one more time, I helped them to the exit area and opened the car door for Mama.

They sat down inside and I waved farewell.

I walked back inside the hospital and talked to Daniel about where to transfer Camila, I requested the nicest room, I wanted Camila to be comfortable when wakes up. He nodded and they started to transfer her to her room.

I sighed and crossed my arms as I waited patiently. I've hurt Camila a lot during this marriage of ours, and I'm aware that I've hurt her a lot, guilt hit me hard when I saw her hurting herself.

I won't ever want to see her like that ever again, something about the way I felt when I saw her was so changing, like I wanted to throw everything away, my wealth, everything I own, just to be with her, and know that she was okay, and right now I'm willing to throw all of that away just to see her and for her to recover, lord please, help my wife, please help Camila.
