"Congratulations Mrs. Huxley your finally free to go home!"
The doctor announced.
"Thanks, Doc," Camila said with a smile.
"Promise me you won't overwork your leg, okay? It hasn't healed yet." Camila nodded as the doctor spoke.
I said to Dante and Carson, who were carrying the bags, "Let's leave." I approached Camila and placed her in her wheelchair, holding her in a bridal style.
I gave Dante a signal and we all made our way outside.
When we got to the exit of the hospital we strolled outside and went to the Car.
Dante opened the door and I carried Camila again and placed her in the car.
To my surprise, she isn't heavy.
I sat next to her, and all she did was gaze down and play with her fingers. "Where are we going?" With the cutest voice, she inquired. That's the first time she's ever said anything to me.
"Love, home Why?" She glanced at me and shook her head as I answered.
"Don't refer to me like that." She stated this while looking out the window. When she spoke those words, I glanced at her blankly and felt broken.
When I was about to speak Dante stepped inside the car.
"Where to, Mr. Huxley?" Dante asked staring at the engines.
"To the house," I said and he nodded.
I couldn't help but gaze at Camila as we drove home; she was staring out the window and tapping her foot on the ground. I wasn't sure whether this was typical because I didn't pay attention to her when we moved together.
After a few minutes we finally arrived at the house, Dante stepped out of the car with me and the maids came to take Camila's stuff back to the room.
I opened the door and carried Camila in a bridal style and both of us strolled inside the house.
"Alejandro, you know that you don't need to carry me everywhere right?" She said and tried to pull away.
"I'd carry you every single day if I have to Love, besides you don't weigh a pound," I remarked and she nodded.
When we reached upstairs I went to my room and sat her down in the chair.
When we got to the top floor, I walked inside my room and sat her on the chair.
"Why am I here? This is your room." She said that, confused, and glanced at me.
"Well, I decided that you should sleep here so that I can look after you," I said, and she sighed.
"It's fine, Alejandro, I can take care of myself." She mumbled something and attempted to get up, but she stumbled. I hurried up to her before she fell and caught her.
I grimaced and replied, "Amore, your Leg isn't well yet."
"Fine, I'll just stay here." I nodded in response to what she said.
"Good, I'll tell Dante to bring your stuff here," I say as I lay her on the bed, cover her with the blankets, and she lies down and faces me.
"I'll be back," I said and got a lazy hum in return.
Camila's P.O.V
I was taken aback by Alejandro's treatment of me; he seemed strange.
Isn't it likely that he's simply acting? Camila, he doesn't like you! Play none of his games!
My mind began to fill up with ideas. I groaned and pushed myself up, resting my head on the bed's headboard and taking a long breath.
I was at a blank on what to do... I was perplexed. Everything appeared to be hazy and difficult to comprehend.
I was exhausted, weak, and powerless.
Is it possible that I should abandon Alejandro?
I groaned and shook my head angrily as a notion entered my mind.
No, I can't, I can't do that...
I snuggled myself back beneath the blankets, closed my eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
Alejandro's P.O.V
"Your dismissed."
I said and gave Dante the file, I decided to take my work at home for a few days since I wanted to take care of Camila.
I was so stupid to be mean and cold, if I can take all of those words that I said I would. I need to make it up to her...
"Mr. Huxley, your wife is awake," Carson said the new bodyguard I got for Camila.
"I'll be there in a minute," I replied and he nodded and left.
I stood up and exited my office and went to my room. When I entered, I saw Camila at the bed yawning, she looked charming.
"Hi, are you feeling well?" I asked and she looked at me and nodded
"Love?" I said and sat down beside her and looked at her but she kept her head down.
"Love, if you're still upset at me, I understand," I say, and she looked at me shaking her head. "I'm very sorry for what I've done."
"Alejandro, not right now please." She said and I sighed and got up.
"Camila-" as I was about to say something someone knocked on the door.
"Yes?" I asked with annoyance.
"Lunch is ready Sir." One of the maids said.
I replied with a hum and looked at Camila.
"Come let's come downstairs for lunch," I said and she nodded.
She placed her palm on my chest as I held her in my arms, and when our eyes met, an electric sensation shifted over my body, and she immediately glanced away.
I took her downstairs and into the garden with me.
Dante opened the seat for her and I sat her down.
"Thanks." She said and I gave her a nod.
Today, I made sure the chef prepared her favorite meals, shrimp pasta, tiramisu, and some lemonade, and more.
The chef arrived a few minutes later and delivered the food to the table, and Camila smiled. I gave her a glass of lemonade and grinned at her reaction.
We both began to eat silently with the sun shining on us.
I brought her to my office after we finished eating and handed her some books; she was surprised; I had assumed she would spend every day in the bookshop; I asked the owner what sort of books she liked and he gave me some choices.
While I worked at my desk, she sat on the sofa.
She was quiet, and she didn't say much to me, but I was relieved that we'd be able to spend some time together while she recovered.
I promise myself I am getting her back...
