I winced as I opened my eyes, my head hurting so painfully.

When I turned around, I realized I was in a hospital room. I suddenly remembered what had happened before. I was knocked unconscious. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I lived in a house with the murderer who killed my parents.

I wiped a tear from my face and sat back down, turning to the side and staring out the window, which overlooked a magnificent panorama of mountains and flowers. I sobbed uncontrollably. My sobbing was muffled and deafeningly quiet.

When my father died, I was heartbroken, but Valentino, him? When someone I trusted so much betrayed me, I asked the cosmos, "What is life?" I'm not sure why I'm here.

I heard the door open with a creak and footsteps approaching from behind, so I closed my eyes and hoped they would go thinking I was sleeping.

I flinched as I felt someone's palm brush over my shoulder. When I turned around, Alejandro was gazing at me. I had no idea what his stares and glances meant when we first met, but now I can read his eyes, which are filled with anxiety, caring, and remorse.

"Get away from me..." I said quietly as I backed away from him.

"Camila, I came here to check on you and apologize," he says severely, and I look at him with astonishment. What the fuck am I, figurine, that you can just apologize to and then mess with my feelings all over again?!

"Apologize? You're going to apologize? What will your apology accomplish? Will it bring my parents back?" I said as I got up, but my head pounded so hard that I had to wince.

"Love just lay down, Camila," he adds as he takes my hand in his. I instantly move away.

"Alejandro, for the last time, leave me alone..." I said, and he exhaled and backed away from me. He went away, and as he approached the door, he turned back, and I hurriedly averted my gaze.

I can't believe what I'm hearing! All of my emotions are now jumbled! Valentino killed my parents and not a single one of them said it!

I cried uncontrollably till I felt numb. I was powerless. When I get out of here, I'm going to start a new life with my son somewhere far away.

"Are you ready to go now, Michael?" I said, kissing his sweet cheek. It's been a day since I was in the hospital, and now I'm flying to Spain to stay in an apartment with Micheal. All of my father's buildings and flats were passed down to me. Valentino, on the other hand, was sentenced to jail for murder. Because I didn't want to see their faces, my lawyer was the one to deal with them.

As I was about to depart, I grabbed my luggage, which included some of the items I had just purchased. I looked at a card put on my hospital bedside table by the nurses; it was from Alejandro, and everyone had been trying to see me for the previous several days, but I refused everything and told the doctors and nurses that I didn't want to see them.

"Come on now," I urged to Michael as I carried him.

The door swung open out of nowhere, revealing Alejandro. "Where are you going, Camila?" he said, puzzled, as I scowled at him.

"I'm leaving," I say as I take my luggage and slip by him, disregarding his presence. As I passed past him, he grabbed my wrist.

I chuckle as he says, "You can't do this, and you're not bringing my son with you."

"You have no right to order me around. I'm divorcing you. The paperwork is with your lawyer," I told him, and he looked stunned.

"You can't simply go away from me like that," he says, and I look at him, our eyes connected, his darkened, and I grinned at him before yanking my hand away.

"Watch me," I said softly as I walked away; I could still feel his gaze on me as I headed to the exit; tears flowed down my cheeks as I finally got to the cab.

I sat inside after the driver opened the door for me. He welcomed me as he sat back in the driver's seat.

"Please take me to the airport," I say, and he nods and drives away.

I'm making the best decision possible, right?...

"The jet is ready, Madam."

Ben, my new secretary, spoke, and I nodded as I led my son outside the airport. Yes, I very much inherited all of my father's fortune, though I didn't want the businesses and enterprise since if I accepted the management job, I'd have to see Alejandro every day, I thought to myself as Ben followed me with the suitcase.

I let Harry handle the firm since he is brilliant at it. As I stepped outside, the cold air touched my snow-white skin, and I clutched Micheal even closer as we boarded the plane. The flight attendants welcomed me and I just nodded. I proceeded inside and sat down while handing Micheal over to his nanny.

As I waited for take-off, I sighed and grabbed my laptop with me, where I began organizing some emails.

After a few moments, the pilot called take-off, and I buckled up. The pilot declared that we may remove our seatbelts as we took off. The flight attendant approached me

I smiled as she said, "Miss, juice, or tea?"

I say, "Coffee, please, with sugar and cream," and she nods.

I went back to work when she left me alone. Ben suddenly approached me.

"Madam, your cousin Harry called and claimed Mr. Huxley was storming into his office right now and demanded to know where you were heading; he asked if it was alright to reveal your whereabouts," he added, I listened shaking his head.

I tell him, "No, don't tell him anything," and he nods and walks away.

Camila, simply clear your head; you'll be able to forget about this in no time.

Tears flowed down my cheeks as I realized they had lied; I had assumed my father died in a car accident and my mother died of cancer, but now I knew it was all a lie...

Now I believe my lesson is to never trust anybody again, and I will continue to pray that the day when I see Alejandro and everyone else will never come.

The end.

The purpose of this story was to portray two sides of love and trust.

Some individuals trust so many times that even if they are duped, they will continue to trust those people, and one day that experience will make them stronger.

Yes, Alejandro and Camila were destined to be together, but the story took an unexpected turn.

We don't realize it at the time, but all endings are beginnings.

Does faith, on the other hand, give up?

But I'm still undecided about whether Chaos or Destiny prevailed. The question is,   Is this the final chapter?
