May Queen's Sister

Part four

(No specific POV)
Anna, Pelle, Josh, Mark and Christian were currently in Mark and Josh's apartment smoking a bong. Anna was laying down with her head in Pelle's lap who was currently sketching in his notebook. One of the thing that made Anna fall for him was his art, the beauty and feeling he was able to convey was just breathtaking to her.

Pelle could feel Anna staring at him which made him smirk. He was excited to bring Anna home and knew that she would fit right in as the only factor that could have disrupt his whole plan was now no longer an issue. As he knew that Dani was a big part of Anna's life and that a big reason why she didn't invite her sooner was to not create more discourse within the group. Anna could deny all she want but Pelle knew she was a people pleaser. That she bottles up he feelings even if she's not aware that she's doing it as she doesn't want to be a burden on others.

"Are the Swedes sensitive about their history of Nazi collaboration?" Josh asks Pelle.

"Are you sensitive about Hiroshima? Or slavery? Or the trail of tears?" Pelle retorts.

"Yes" Josh deadpans.

Anna looks across at Christian who was staring intensely at his phone, she guessed he invited Dani over and was just waiting for her to get there. Anna knew that Christian was 100% in to the relationship anymore, not like Dani was and will most likely continue to be. If Anna knew that he was going to be like this she wouldn't have set him up with her sister but at the time she did that; she thought she was introducing her sister to great guy who would be a fantastic boyfriend. Anna knew that she should probably bring it up to Dani but she also knew how Dani was and would deny the inventible for as long as she could, that this relationship was doomed.

"Hey guys, it's Dani - She's coming up" Christian told them.

"...okay." Marks says a bit confused.

Josh looks at the coffee table with the bong and weed on top of it, "should we clear all this?"

"No, no, it doesn't matter." Mark replies, "But uh - listen..."

Mark quickly goes to buzz Dani in before continuing.

"...just so you guys know; she's not actually going to come, but I invited her on the trip. Just to not make it weird."

Anna scoffs which pisses Christian off a bit.

"What does that mean?" He asks her.

"Oh nothing but just to let you know I actually invited her on the trip before you and I bet I didn't make her feel like an ass while doing it." Anna replied.

Pelle, Josh and Mark just sat in silence while watching the exchange. They all had been wondering when Anna would finally implode on Christian for his treatment towards Dani. As it was a well known fact that Anna was very protective of Dani and would even get physical if she had too. For the past year with the steadily decline of Christian and Dani's relationship, she hasn't said anything well she has let out a snide remark here and there. But never directly calling him out like she was currently doing.

"I didn't make her feel like an ass" Christian tried to defend.

"Anna lifted up her head off of Pelle' s lap, so she could sit right up and look Christian properly in the eyes.

"Oh please Christian, you may her feel like a shitty person for opening up to you which she should be able to do as you are her boyfriend. Look you're my best friend but she's my sister and you're breaking her even more with your indecisiveness so be a man and make a decision. Either break up with her or don't and be a supporting boyfriend on this trip and not an unwanted interloper!"

All four men looked at her, mouths wide open.

"I'm not going to break up with her Ann" Christian told her, "I'm just saying I invited her but I'm not even sure she'll come on the trip. I mean she "accepted" but that doesn't mean she'll come."

"Does she not want to come?" Josh asks.

"No, she "accepted" but doesn't mean she's actually going to come."

Everyone just stared at him.

"You guys know what she's dealing with!"Christian exclaimed.

"No, we know. I just didn't realize. It's totally fine if she joins." Mark said.

"No shit Sherlock" Anna mutters snuggling her face into Pelle's chest who already wrapped his arm around her and pressed a kiss on top of her head.

"Yeah, dude, nobody minds."

They than heard a knock on the door, Christian moves over to the door to answer the door but first turns towards the others.

"Okay, so just - you guys told me to invite her and you know that she's coming. Agreed?"

Anna couldn't hear anymore of this, so she got up from the couch, gave Dani a quick hug and went down the hall to the bathroom. She just sat on the floor for a couple of seconds trying to calm herself down as she could hear the rapid beating of her heartbeat getting louder. Anna than heard a soft knock on the door.

"Go away!" She told the person.

"Love it's me, could you open the door?"

When she opened the door there was Pelle with a soft smile on his face, she pulled him into the bathroom and let him envelope her in his arms.

"What's wrong?" He asked her softly.

"Nothing" she whispered.

Pelle pulled back a bit so he could look her in the eyes.

"Love you've been more agitated than usual lately and I know you didn't blow up on Christian just because of his behaviour." Pelle told her.

Anna bit her lip and let out a sigh, "I'm late"

"What?"

"My period's late Pelle" she told him again, this time her voice more firm.

Pelle now knew why she was so nervous as Anna was very diligent in tracking her cycle and he remembered her telling him before that she was never late.

"It's going to be okay" Pelle told her with a soft smile. "You've been stressed with this trip and taking care of Dani so that could be the reason."

"Yeah maybe you're right" Anna responded, letting him give her another hug.

But part of her knew that stress was not the reason.
