January 12th, 2018Despite what had occurred the previous night, even as I sat at my desk I still hadn't come up with anything. What Akali did was all kinds of fucked up, but a part of me was relieved it wasn't flat out prostitution. The soldier in me definitely wouldn't forgive the producer if he just sat by and did nothing.
Even as she sat across from me, I still had a placid expression while I simply stared at her, not knowing fully what to say.
"What? Are you still bitter about last night? Not like you exactly gave me a chance to defend myself." She was defiant, "Besides, you left so quickly that we couldn't even finish talking."
"That's why I told you to come in early." I responded, folding my hands in front of me.
"If it moves things forward, 'still haven't changed my mind. I'm willing to do anything to make what happened go away." God if I was an idiot I would've misinterpreted that so easily, then again it's her fault for choosing poor wording. "There's no big issue with that right? At any kind of business there's always that saying, 'you scratch my back, I scratch yours'.
"Just how much stuff does Evelynn teach you girls?"
"Oh that I found out on my own. So what do you say? How about I give you a night of fun and you don't say anything about yesterday?"
Wording, Akali. Wording.
Rubbing my face, I wondered if I was in some kind of visual novel. The amount of cliche going on around me was becoming much to bear.
"Being your toy is something I want to avoid, Akali. I am your producer, not some sleazy corporate pimp."
"Eh? You're still a man aren't you?"
"Yeah, a man who has dignity and respect for himself to not chase women in possibly one of the saddest ways to ever be conceived." I hate to knock all the guys who do compensated dating. But it really was something downright depressing.
"Tell you what. Since you say you have 'dignity' I'll treat you for the whole night. You won't need to spend a penny while I give you the full package." A beaming smile, an actual one, came to her while her jacket hung off her shoulders.
She leaned over to my side of the desk, her hands wrapping onto mine while her chin rested atop them. Her scent also wafted my senses. Even I could admit Akali was a beautiful woman. The way her youthful and energetic features complimented her personality...
Hold on, what was going on in my head? Begone foul thoughts!
"Come on, you're not actually gonna pass up a chance at a great night but also opportunities to get to know your idol better, right?" My name passed her lips, them opening into a grin while her eyes stared into mine. Turning my head away I averted her gaze, lest I fall into temptation.
Mind racing I thought about the whole situation. Not even a week into this new job and already a girl was working her feminine charms against me. If only it was this easy to catch the eyes of them. What did I get myself into when I answered Chief's proposal? Before any kind of fantasies could play in my head I gave her an answer.
"Against my better judgement, Akali. I'll accept your deal. But a deal is a deal. Do not renegotiate at all otherwise it's off, got it?"
Beaming, she stood up from her seat and cheered, doing a little dance before taking my phone which was on the table. Handing it back I looked at it to see she added herself to my contacts, with a little heart and pair of headphones next to her name. Rolling my eyes I set it down and went back to work.
