"Around here looks good, it's a good distance away from where she usually is."

"I thought she said she worked at her uncle's restaurant?"

"She does but...sometimes I see her do this as well. Come on, we need to hurry or we'll lose her!"

"Geez. Alright."

Parking along the street, we both got out and we're greeted by the vibrant nightlife of west coast America. As mentioned earlier the amount of influence that Asian culture had on this place...might as well have made California territory of Japan or Korea. They were the two strongest influences.

The sidewalks were adorned with street vendors peddling goods, couples looking to have a good time, salarymen unwinding after a day of slaving and single men looking to score. All around the place restaurants, bars and cafes bustled with traffic even if it was late.

What was I even doing. Only my second day as a producer and already I was being thrown into trouble at the expense of others. But, it was to protect someone from something really dangerous. So I had to help. I may be rigid at times but I'm not heartless.

"She usually picks someone up around here..." Ahri led me to a spot on the street, stopping us just a short distance away.

"How do you know this?"

"Because I used to frequent her uncle's restaurant and noticed the nights she would be absent. Look just, please help her? I know you don't remember it but, you were a good person back then who really did help me. At least help my friend."

Rubbing my brow, I contemplated on what to do. I really was struggling on trying to just walk away and drive home. This could be potentially dangerous and within I felt like if I were to walk away now something would happen that could cause me guilt.

"Hey, there she is!" Through the bustling crowd we could see Akali's signature hat as she stood under a street lamp, face focused on her phone while she occasionally looked up as if waiting for someone.

After another minute a man would walk up to her, discreetly handing her an envelope. Opening it up she pulled out what looked like a stack of cash, flicking her fingers through the bills before stowing them in her bag and nodding to the client. She would close her eyes for a moment, before a clearly false smile and cheerful expression came and she hugged the man's arm.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. Pardon my French.

"Come on. We gotta follow her..!" Ahri pulled my arm along as Akali and her compensated date walked among the crowd. I've heard of people doing a lot of weird things to get by, but I never would've guessed that one of the members of my own idol group would be doing compensated dating to make cash.

Again, people do what they gotta to make it through. But this is weird even by my standards. And I have pretty damn low standards.

Sighing, I went along with her as she continued to tug me along, "If you girls weren't already good friends before signing on I would say you were trying to eliminate a rival."

Stopping for a second she turned to me called me by name, "What do you mean by that?"

"Normally she would be immediately terminated, her contract revoked and likely blacklisted from other talent agencies on top of being sued by President Wright for damages. Like I said though, you and the others operate as one so I can't exactly do that." I explained to her. She pursed her lips and frowned.
