"if you don't eat it you'll never get better," you stated, raising your eyebrows at the sick boy in front of you and pressing the spoon further in his face. "do it for me, please."

sunoo looked disgusted as he let out a whine, reluctantly opening his mouth and accepting the soup you had made for him.

"there," you started as he swallowed and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. "now all you have to do is finish this cup."

"the whole cup?" sunoo asked, taking the mug of soup from you and looking in it.

"yep. the whole cup, babe," you said with a nod. you stood from your spot on the bed, grabbing the empty water glass on his nightstand. "i'm gonna go clean up in the kitchen and refill this cup. that soup better be gone by the time i'm back, alright?"

hesitantly eating another spoonful, sunoo gulped before saying, "you sound like my mom."

you placed a hand on your hip. "i wouldn't have to if you just listened the first time."

"yeah yeah," sunoo sighed, his silverware clanking against the sides of the mug. he watched silently as you swept a few tissues into his garbage can. it wasn't until you were at his door that he spoke up. "thank you, though. for taking care of me, i mean."

looking over your shoulder, you let a sweet smile form on your lips, your eyes sparkling even in the low light. "of course. you'd do the same."
