" Just do it already. " Rain pushed a stray hair away from her face, leaning up against the wall in the great hall with her arms crossed and her foot propped up against it. Fleur had nodded, taking a breath and holding her head high. She began walking towards the Goblet of Fire. However, at the same time, she noticed the sight of her new friend Cedric getting pushed towards the fire by his own so-called friends. She couldn't help but follow Fleur who walked past a set of boys and delicately set her name in the fire. Many of the Beauxbatons girls cheered at the sight. " Didn't know you were entering. " Cedric turned away from his friends, he still held his smile. " Didn't know I was either. " He stepped forward, past the age line, and set his name in the fire.

" I wish I could've, would've been fun. " Rain swayed back and forth on her feet. " I don't think I've ever asked what year you're in. " The two walked side by side and away from the fire. " Fifth technically, though I am a fourth-year student. " Cedric turned his head, furrowing his eyebrows. " You're in the fourth year? " She nodded, they stood somewhere near the doorway. " I was held back at my last school, bad decision making. " A small ah left his mouth, and they were snapped away from their conversation by a set of twins who ran past them with aging potions. Why didn't she think of that? How brilliant!

" If you don't mind me asking, how did you get held back? " Rain laughed, stuffing her hands in her pockets. " I'm a fan of pranks, I blew up a few potions, cut a girl's hair, failed a few classes then boom, now I'm a fourth year. " Cedric and Rain both found themselves lingering out of the great hall. " And your mother? Did she agree? "

" She thought it would be best, somewhat of a punishment for me. It's not so bad, I don't really have friends I'd leave behind. " Cedric frowned at the thought, she really didn't have people, not like him, he was one of the most popular boys at Hogwarts. " That doesn't sound awful, look, I'll see you later and we can talk more hopefully? " Her lips lifted the tiniest bit. " Sure, I'll see you then. "
Rain found herself lingering near the black lake, no classes were today so she took the opportunity to explore some more. She found herself liking the black lake far too much, she named it one of her favorite spots. She liked skipping rocks at the shoreline and walking alongside it, Fleur, being a popular girl at their school was far too busy with her own life to spend her time with Rain, Rain often was left alone and she had to come up with creative ways to keep her mind busy.

It's been like this for years, Rain was never one to be good at making friends, she was more repelling to them with her bad nature, she favored pranks and mayhem and the people she was surrounded by were more favored to learning. She just wanted to have fun. " You're doing it wrong. " She looked over her shoulder, her right hand holding a handful of rocks. Behind her was Draco Malfoy, the rude blond she met at Slytherin's house. " Am I? " She glanced down at the rocks in hand. " You're supposed to bend your knees more and go lower. "

" Care to demonstrate? " She held out her hand that held the rocks in. He clicked his tongue and walked forward, his robes swaying in the wind. He stood beside her, crouched down, bent his knees, and tossed the rock. It skipped three times. " Nice job! " His lips lifted at the sight, he seemed pleased and glanced at the girl for approval, he quickly did so then leaned down to grab a small rock at his feet. She followed his moves, crouched down, and threw the rock. It skipped two times, she cheered, a wide smile on her face. " Your name is Rain? " Draco asked softly, he looked over at Rain whose hair flew in the wind as she turned her head. The sun was beginning to set at that moment and it shined brightly against the lake.

" It is. Your name is Draco. " His head was lowered, though he perked his head up as if he wasn't expecting such a question. " It is. " Draco's lips parted, he searched for words to say but was cut off when the bell tolled and the remaining students outside began to go inside, the bell was signaling that the results were in, the results for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. They glanced at each other before following the students inside. Everyone was making their way to the great hall, eager to hear the results. Rain found herself sitting in between many of her classmates and looking around the crowd for Fleur who sat a few students away from her. " Now the moment you've been waiting for, the champion selection! " Professor Dumbledore held out his hand, creating a tension in the air that could cut anything. He approached the Goblet which continued to produce a blue fire. Suddenly the fire produced a red flame and a paper had burst out from the flames. He had caught it and showed it to the crowd before speaking the name of the paper. " The Durmstrang Champion is Victor Krum! "

He pumped his fist in the air as his classmates clapped and yelled, the rest of the school joined in on the clapping. The fire had burst into a swirl and another paper fell among the Professor. " The champion of Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacord! " Rain saw the way Fleur smiled, she stood up from her group of friends and walked over to the headmaster, shaking his hand firmly and holding her head high. One last paper burst from the flames, falling threw the air. " The Hogwarts champion, Cedric Diggory! " The majority of the room was Hogwarts students so the room was louder than ever when the announcement was made.

" Excellent! We now have our three champions, but in the end, only one will go down in history! Only one will hoist this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory! The Tri-wizard Cup! " The cup was shown, it glowed a blue that stood out from the rest of the room. It was big and looked elegant. Though everyone focused their vision away from the cup and at the Goblet of fire they began to spurt the red that it had before. The fire had burst, creating bigger flames that shot out of the fire. Rain had found herself leaning forward and her fingers curling around the bench she sat on. A single piece of paper had fallen down yet again, though when Dumbledore grabbed it he examined the piece and slowly began to tear another piece of paper apart from the other. Students whispered. " Harry Potter and Rain Scarlett Maxime! "

Rain felt all eyes on her, and everyone around began to scoot away to create a path. She froze, she could feel the judgment in the room and all eyes were on her or this so-called Harry Potter. Rain had to get up, she sucked in her breath and stood up. Harry Potter, who sat across the hall from her had also gotten up from the encouragement of his friends. The two met in the middle, giving each other a small look before turning and walking towards Professor Dumbledore. He gave the two of them a look, slowly handing over the paper which held their names. They felt everyone stare at their backs. They proceeded to walk past their friends and to the room where the other champions stood. " They're a cheat! "

" They aren't even 16 yet! " Harry was in shock, Rain didn't know what to think. They were walking past the teachers. Madame Maxime had grabbed her wrist as she walked back, she stopped to speak with her. " I didn't put my name on it. " It came out as French, though it was hushed to avoid the other students hearing. Madame Maxime had nodded her head, hushing her and motioning for her to follow Harry Potter. " You too? "

Cedric walked up to her, surprised at the sudden appearance of the two underaged wizards. " Someone put our names in the Goblet. "

" You didn't do it? " Harry asked softly. Rain looked toward Harry Potter. " Sorry kid but I didn't even know who you were until now. If I were to put my name in, I wouldn't put anyone else's name In. Especially the chosen one. "

" Do you have any idea who it would've been? " Rain shook her head but they were all snapped away from the conversation when the teachers all began rushing towards them and arguing. " Harry! " Professor Dumbledore had come running ag Harry. " Harry! Harry, you put your name in the Goblet of Fire? Asked one of the older students to do it for you? "

" No sir! "

" Absolutely sure! "

" Yes sir! "

" Of course, he is lying. " Madame Maxime had pushed away a sign that was blocking her way. " Rain Darlin, you sure you didn't? " She glanced at Cedric. " Absolutely sure. "

" So what do we do now? "

" They have to participate. "

Rain didn't know how to feel, she wanted to participate but not like this. Now she had no choice.

" Fine. Let's do it. "
