Chapter 15

When the two teenagers went to rest Narcissa stared at the frame Rain once referenced of her dear friend. Narcissa's eyebrows furrowed once noticing the similarities between the two girls. Rain and Elizabeth held significant similarities.

"This is your room?" Rain walked around the elegant room, awe in her eyes, it was bigger than half her home. Though it was dull, it wasn't decorated nor held significance to things Draco loved. Other than a bookshelf and an old Nimbus 2000 hung on the wall. " It's nothing to gawk about. " Draco stood near the middle of the room watching Rain span every bit of it. " Your room is right next door, a house elf will be waiting for you to help get ready for dinner, in about an hour or so. "

" Get ready? " Rain stopped what she was looking at and turned her head to look at Draco. " A dress. Your hair. " She was gonna be dressed elegantly, that's how the Malfoys ate dinner. In their best attire. She cringed at the thought. Being strapped up in a tight corset or her hair that could take hours braided up in a tight mess. " What will you be wearing? " He gestured over to the black suit laid at the edge of his bed. He noticed her nervous exterior and grabbed her hands. " Don't be nervous, it's just for a short time and then we can open presents. " We? " The corners of his lips lifted. " Mum got you some too. " She felt warm, accepted into the home somewhat. Blaise was right, Narcissa would welcome her. Draco saw her smile the tinest bit at the thought, he felt happy. " Would you like me to take you to your room to rest? " She noticed his behavior once they were alone, he was nicer, calm and collected. She liked it. " Why don't we rest here, your bed is big enough. " Her socks padded against the wooden floor and she sat at the edge of his black comforter. He didn't disagree, rather he joined her from the other side and kicked his legs up to relax against the pillows. The two laid side by side, hands rested on their bellies and silence in the air. Seconds passed before Rain suddenly said. " Theo asked me on a date. " Silence again, Draco's mouth parted, he didn't know what to say. Then he looked at her and turned his body. Rain looked at him but stayed in her position. " What did you say? " She cringed, scrunching up her nose. " I-i haven't agreed or disagreed, I wasn't sure. Should I? "

She furrowed her eyebrows and stared at them side by side. Rain looked like Elizabeth when she was in her youth. They looked alike, too much alike. Beside the photographs was a maroon and black fur coat. One Elizabeth Scarlett was seen wearing in a photo with both her and Narcissa. She took the fur coat and began to box it up, wrapping it in gift wrapping and writing on the box. " To Rain, Merry Christmas. "

Narcissa Malfoy knocked on Draco's closed door, with no awnser she opened the door to find the two asleep right next to eachother. Rain laid on her side, curled up beside Draco who laid on his back softly snoring. She smiled softly at the sight before closing the door. Making sure to tell one of the house elves to wake the two to avoid embarrassing then.

The two woke up to a house elf, known as Mippy. Narcissa's personal elf, she was calling Rain's name who almost screamed at the closeness of the elf to her face, next to the bed. She let out a yelp and fell into Draco who fell of the bed in return. A loud thump echoed into the room and Rain blinked at him groggily laying on the floor. " Madam Malfoy has requested my help for your dress fitting. " Mippy seemed tense and bowed her head. " O-of course. " Rain rubbed her eyes, Draco lifted his head and peeked over the bed. She giggled at his disheveled hair and confusion. " Time to get ready for dinner. " She kicked her legs over the bed and held her hand out for Mippy to take. " Lead the way. " Rain smiled at the house elf who went shy under her gaze. Rain looked over her shoulder at Draco who rubbed his eyes and slowly adjusted to the world. " See you soon. "

Her luggage was in her room, and the room was glorious. Fancy, dark and elegant. She was impressed. She looked around in awe before Mippy sat her down at a fancy vanity littered with so many different types of makup, she never did her makup too much and many of it she didn't know how to use. Rain sat silently as Mippy did her makup, tied back her hair, and fitted her for her dress. It took an endlessly long time before it was done and her appearance took her breath away. She looked at herself in the mirror and she nearly didn't recognize the girl on the other side. " Do you like it Madam? " Mippy lowered her head as if she was waiting for a scolding. " I-i love it. " She crouched down to the elf and smiled. " Thank you for your help. "

" Can you grab Draco for me? " Mippy looked stunned at her kindness. " Of course. Kind girl. "

Rain stared at herself through the mirror and then a knock sounded in the silent room. She opened the door and Draco stood on the other side. He felt deja vu from the night of the Yule Ball. He stared and his mouth slightly parted. He gulped and scanned her dress. " You look. " He hesitated. " Beautiful. " He wore a black suit that hugged his figure with a tie tucked underneath his blazer. His hair slicked back, he looked handsome. " You clean up nicely. The suit is nice. "
