Chapter 27

Shotaro's PoV: (age - 21 years old)

I woke up in a cold sweat, breathing unevenly. 'What- what was that?' I thought to myself, trying to calm down my beating heart. "Taro? Are you ok?" I looked up to see my boyfriend looking at me all concerned. "Yeah... I- I think so?"

I saw Sungchan roll his eyes. "I know you aren't fine... Tell me what's wrong?" I know this isn't the time to be sassy but- if you knew I wasn't fine, why did you even ask? "I- I don't know...." I replied. "I wanna tell you but I don't remember anything..."

Sungchan nodded, thankfully not pushing the topic any further. "Not even a little bit?" I glared at the demon. Calling him a demon seems so mean- "Please, as I've said- I only remember closing my eyes then waking up as if I ran a marathon."

"So, a bad dream?" I shrugged. "I guess..." Sungchan didn't push further and just held me in his embrace like a baby. "Can you sing?" I ask my boyfriend. I see Sungchan giving me a weird look. "Uh- I never tried..." I hummed. "Can you try?"

Sungchan hesitated but nodded. Of course he'll agree, he's whipped for me- I'm kidding... Not really- "I could try to sing uh- I could try to sing Berry..." I looked at the demon in confusion. "Berry?" "Berry by Kim Sunwoo... Would you want me to sing it?"

I nodded enthusiastically and fixed myself in a comfortable position in Sungchan's embrace. "I'm sorry if my voice isn't the best... I'm dead- I never found the need to sing..." I giggled a bit before urging Sungchan to start singing.

It's not refreshing
I am stuck between the windows
The light comes in overflowing
I don't want to be lonely, turn on the channel

Not cooled down breakfast, no

By the time Sungchan finished the song, I was trying my best not to fall asleep. "How was that?" I heard Sungchan ask me. I wanted to answer but I was too tired to say anything. "Sweet dreams~" Was the last thing I heard before I fell into a dreamless sleep.
