Chapter 34

Shotaro's PoV:

I could finally stand. I was still crying and dazed but I could finally move my body. I stood and tried to run to Sungchan when I heard him scream, "NO!" I stopped moving. I couldn't see who it was but someone stopped me and made me drop to the floor.

I turned to Sungchan, the only face I could make out now. He was being held down by something blinding. "Light. He's being held down by light." I heard Jaehyun say. I stared at him in disbelief. "Why did you do this? Why-"

"He's dangerous. You're dangerous." Jaehyun growled. "An angel is born to protect a certain person. Sungchan was created to protect you." My breath started to get heavier. "But then, an angel looses their purpose once their human dies."

"You died. You died when you were born. The doctors weren't supposed to be able to bring you back but they did, all thanks to Sungchan." Jaehyun unsheathed his sword. "That's against the rules. He gave his life to save yours."

I felt numb. "He broke the rules.. But he still had a purpose. He turned to a demon as his punishment all because YOU DIED!" I was crying. I couldn't hear anything. I could see Jaehyun's mouth move, I could see Sungchan's mouth move but I couldn't hear anything.

"Now, I'm going to kill you so that I can kill him too!" I can feel the tip of Jaehyun's sword on my throat. I turned my head slightly to see Sungchan. He was struggling against the hold of the light. "These are the orders of my master. I can not disobey them."
