"Ahh, auntie Janet you scared me." Kandi said covering up some papers.
"Mm, y'all didn't answer my question."
"Promise you won't tell mommy." Blythe said.
"It depends."
"Then we won't tell you." Kandi challenged.
"Alright fine." Janet walked into the room and closed the door behind her.
"Okay, so we are trying to get mom and dad together before he and Nicole get married."
"I'm in."
Kandi chuckled, "A while ago we did some research on Nicole and we found out that she was in a psych ward a while ago and more stuff, but you can't know about the other stuff until later. She has a bunch of diaries in the attic at Dad's house but we can't open them because they have locks. We have her diary here but it's locked."
"Hmm, did you guys try a hairpin?"
"Nope." Janet took a pin from her hair and inserted it into the lock. A few seconds later it opened.
"Bingo!" Denim quickly opened the book and looked through it.
He frowned, "This is in Spanish. What if the other books are in Spanish too?"
"Then they might as well get married." Bliss sighed.
"I took a Spanish class in high school." Janet said grabbing the book.
"It says 'Toni Braxton is expecting again. It hurts me to see her living my dream. That is supposed to be me, I'm supposed to be married to him and having his children. But don't worry I always get what I want.' No way."
"Is there more?"
"No, just some stuff about summer camp." Janet said flipping through the pages.
"Oh wait, I think I found something. It says 'I went to his concert and it was so much fun. Then guess who decided to show up? His wife! I'm supposed to be his wife.' That's it."
"She is wilding." Diezel said.
"Is that page dated?"
"Yeah, February fourteen."
"A Valentine's Day show." They said at the same time.
"Am I missing something?" Janet asked confused.
"Zandra was conceived around Valentine's Day because she was born in October."
"But we said how could that be because mom goes to all his Valentine's Day shows."
"They've could've met before and-"
"That's exactly what I said but we have to keep on digging."

Kandi's POV The next day
We were at Dad's house because he picked us up from school. He went to the studio so it was just us here with Nicole and Zandra. I was going downstairs to get a snack when I heard them talking. I stopped moving listened to them talk.
"When are you going to tell them?" I heard Zandra ask Nicole.
"Shh, they could be listening." Nicole said and I immediately pulled out my phone and recorded the conversation.
"They are not."
"I have nothing to tell them."
"Yes you do. Tell dad his surprise or I will." Zandra chuckled.
What? I kept recording just in case they said something else and I was correct.
Nobody's POV Later on that day
"Guys." Kandi said sitting on the couch where the rest of her siblings were.
"Hmm?"
"Yeah?"
"Yesterday when we were at Dad's house, I had went to go get a snack. Then I heard Nicole and Zandra talking so I stopped and pulled out my phone to record." She took out the phone and played the recording.
"Oh my god." Diezel said listening to the recording.
"Oh nah, she needs to be stopped."
"We need more information on her."
"I think I got something." Janet said walking down the stairs scaring them.
"Auntie Janet you can't keep scaring us." Bliss said placing her hand over her chest, being dramatic.
"Sorry." She took a seat on the couch next to Blythe.
"What do you have?"
"Oh yeah, I read through Nicole's diary about the camp stuff and she's been fantasizing over your dad for a long time. She wrote that she, cover your ears twins." They covered their ears and Janet continued.
"She would masturbate to a whole album by him and have wet dreams." Janet whispered.
"Ewww." Denim, Diezel, and Kandi said.
"You guys can uncover y'all ears now." Janet said and they did.
"That's just nasty." Kandi said screwing up her face.
"Oh, tell auntie Janet what you heard yesterday."
"Oh yeah."
"What are you guys doing?" Toni said making them all jump. Kandi quickly paused the recording hoping her mother didn't hear little bits of it.
"I- we- nothing." Janet said tugging on her ears.
"Liar. What are y'all hiding?" She asked sitting on the couch next to Denim.
"Nothing."
"You know if you guys are hiding something from me y'all gonna be in trouble? You too Janet."
"Me?! I'm grown."
"Yeah okay." She looked at them before shaking her head.
"Anyways I'll find out later." Toni got up and walked into the kitchen.
"Whew, that was close."
"Yeah, we can't do this in an open space anymore. We got to go somewhere private." Janet said and they nodded.
"This is about to be a long couple of months." Bliss said and they nodded in agreement.
