You had just finished training with Odin, your body was exhausted and the bruises and cuts had already started to form on your skin. Instead of heading back to your room as you usually would you head to the most westerly edge of Asgard to watch the sun set. You drop down onto the grass and sit in silence, mulling over your thoughts, would you be ever good enough? You wished you didn't have your powers.
You wanted your mother but she was gone, killed by a Dark Elf. The loss of Frigga was hard on your Father too, that's why he decided to train you, to be an unstoppable force so no other race dared enter Asgard again.
As the darkness of the night creeped into the sky you heard footsteps behind you. You jump to your feet and produce a single gold hilted dagger from thin air, holding out to your assailant.

"Expecting someone else?" Loki jokes with you.

Realizing it was him you dissipate your weapon and slump back onto the ground, you wince as you do.

Loki notices as he sits down next to you, "are you okay?"

"Yeah, just sore from training," you lie as you hold your side.

Loki looks disapprovingly, "why is he always so hard on you?"

You had wondered the same question many times yourself and it always led you to this conclusion, "he thinks I'm the reason my Mother died, that I could of done something had I of been able to control my Asgardian powers properly."

"Don't you ever think her death was your fault or that your not good enough, your (y/n) Odinson the only princess of Asgard, 2nd in line to the throne! You have incredible Asgardian powers AND your mother's magic, you truly are a force to be reckoned with," Loki compliments you.

You give him a weak half smile at his kind words.

You and Loki had always been best friends as kids, and as you got older your closeness grew into something more.

He looks at you, brushing your cheek as he gently moves a piece of your hair from your face, his touch made your body tingle, you look at him expectantly.
He moves his hand to the back of your neck as he leans in and kisses you passionately, it takes you a millisecond to reciprocate. The kiss was deep and meaningful, as you part Loki looks at you and smiles. You smile too in your memory and in real life, but Loki's real expression was one of sadness, he knew what was going to happen next.

The next day you exit the training room and head to your bedroom Loki was waiting and pacing.

You didn't have chance to greet him before he spoke, "how long has he been punishing you like that?" he had obviously seen it earlier.

"I don't know what you mean?" you say coyly but there was no fooling him.

"Don't, (y/n), please, how long?"

You exhale deep, "since Mother died."

Loki runs his hands thru his hair and grits his teeth, "I'm going to give him a piece of my mind," he says as he tries to storm past you.

You hold your hand up to his chest to stop him and close the door with your magic, "and what are you going to do? He wont listen, and your no match for him," you say as a matter of fact, "just pretend you didn't see anything."

He still hadn't moved from your side after trying to get past you, "I'm not ignoring this (y/n) you mean too much to me," he stops and thinks for a second, "let's leave Asgard, go to another realm, Vanaheim?" He offers.

"And when his army finds us, he will have you killed for taking his 'greatest weapon' from him."

He searches your eyes, "I just want you to be okay."

You give him a reassuring kiss, "I know Loki, but there's nothing you can do."

----A couple of days go by----

Loki waited for you in your room as he often did after your training, he would always comfort you and tend to your cuts and bruises even though he knew they would heal by the morning.

He was quite on this particular evening, "whats on your mind?" you ask him.

He seemed startled at your question, "nothing, i was just day dreaming," he lies, "shall we go for a walk?"

"Sure," the two of you walk to the place you loved to watch the sun set.

Loki looks at you for a moment before speaking, "I think i found a way to free ourselves from Odin."

You look at him quizzically, "really? how?"

"Do you trust me?"

You take a moment trying to figure out his plan, "of course i do."

He takes his fingers the same as he is doing now and puts them on your temples, letting his magic course through you, your eyes glow green as he enters your mind quickly and efficiently locking doors to your memories.

You try to move but he had you frozen, you try to use your magic to fight him out, "Loki wait," you plead, "not like this."

"I'm sorry (y/n) but i cannot be selfish any longer, this is the only way, this is how i keep you safe," you could hear the emotion in his voice, "i love you."

You tried so hard to say it back but he was so far into our memories, pulling them apart, that you forget what you were going to say.

Your eyes flash open as your memory dissolves, you look longingly at Loki tears form in your eyes as you now had a new view and history of him.

"Loki," you whisper.

He doesn't hesitate to lean in and kiss you. Next thing you know hes being pulled away from you and slammed into the nearest wall with Bucky's vice like grip around his neck.

"Maybe i should of made myself clearer!" Bucky says venomously, "are you okay doll?" he asks without taking his eyes off his prey, "care to explain why you were kissing my girlfriend?" as he says it his grip gets tighter.

"Loki smiles and half laughs, "it's not like....I can....tell you while your....choking me."

"Bucky wait," you call after him, "im okay, i got lost in my memories for a second."

Bucky still doesn't drop Loki.

"He's the one who hid me here," you explain.

Bucky slowly lowers Loki to the floor and releases his grip.

"That still doesn't explain why he kissed you," he replies never letting his dagger like eyes leave Loki.

"We were together."

Tony made a joking comment from the other side of the room thinking you wouldn't hear, "well you've definitely got a type."

You ignore his accurate comment and try to diffuse the situation unfolding before you by explain your memories to the group, "Odin was training me to become his greatest weapon, and Asgard's ultimate defence. He would exhaust me in training and beat me when I didn't get it right, I had to endure his wrath because he thinks I could of saved my mother's life had I been in control of my power," you look around the room at everyone, "Loki is the one who saved my life by pretending to be Odin and brining me here, to you."

Loki speaks, "I'm sorry, (y/n) I shouldn't of kissed you, it was a moment of weakness."

You cut him off, "no, Loki it's fine, I, uhm," you stumble trying to find words not to hurt him, "I'm with Bucky now."
