A Face Everyone Knows

I'm just a face everyone knows,
Everyone in which a smile shows.
They just wave,
For time that they have to save.
But because I am a face everyone knows,
No one takes the time to say hello and it shows.
They ignore the words I speak,
And the connection I seek.
"They've got other things to do,
Rather than say hello to you."
My mind likes to take its toll,
But I play this happy part like it's my role.
Deep down inside,
Is what I hide.
Sometimes it tends to leak,
For someone to help me in which I seek.
But I catch myself,
Put it in a bottle and on the shelf.
I'll leave it alone.
Maybe one day I'll be known.
