Chapter 1

Author's Pov~

The entire kingdom of konoha was in celebration, the king had a son.
Minato Namikaze and kushina Uzumaki, the fair rulers of the kingdom had a baby boy.

Naruto Namikaze Uzumaki, the prince of konoha, the only heir to the throne.

There was another miracle, he had the same blood as Kushina, his mom. Kurama's blood, this means he could reproduce. His parents turned a bit protective of him and didn't let that part of the news spread. Though they were happy about the news he was forbidden to share it with anyone. For his own good.

They were all happy, he was happy, he had a loving family, kind and caring butters and maids who had become his friends. He could often roam the kingdom freely because even though they respected him, he wanted to be treated like an ordinary citizen. He loves his kingdom and it was reciprocated.

But one fine day, Minato realized that his wife was severely ill, he brought the best medics from all over but nothing could be done. He became a broken little man when he received the expiry date of his wife.
Soon after Naruto's mother passed away.

'Have courage and be kind' were his mother's last words to him.

He tried to keep his father happy in every way possible and his father took care of him and raised him. Minato slowly started growing better, he was with his son and an entire kingdom that loved him.

So he once again took to the throne and took care of his kingdom.
But he also believed that Naruto needed the love of a mother, for he had lost her when he was only 5. He needed the care and love of a mother.

So for his little Naruto he decided to re-marry. In the uchiha kingdom, while visiting King Fakugo, he came upon Mei.
Mei was enchanted by his Wealth and beauty. And for Minato, she had red hair like Kushina and was a rich, kind and caring person. Or so he thought.

Seems they both had kids and their partners had passed. Minato was delighted to hear that Naruto could have siblings, Mei however was not happy. She didn't want to take care of another child. But she agreed because she honestly loved Minato.

They married and Minato went back home to tell the news to his little boy who was waiting for him.
When he said it, Naruto was genuinely happy for his dad. He was excited to meet his step mom. But in his heart no one could replace his birth mom.
He wanted to give his step-mom a chance, he wanted to open his heart and allow her to have it. For his dad, he vowed to be happy no matter what.

They visited the uchiha kingdom and were back. Naruto liked it, but something was off. Everything was going well until-

Until unfortunately another tragedy occurred and the kingdom of Konoha was under attack. That night the people of the kingdom fought hard with Minato himself leading them. But the battle ended in shambles, the palace was destroyed and the riches gone. Not a single person except little Naruto survived, he was hidden away in the Pantry. When everything quiet down, he ran out to the battlefield, finding his father.

"Dad!" He shouted. "Dad, wake up, look at me please" He begged.
"Na-ru-to. You are my brave strong boy.... Me and-.. y-ou'r mom will lo-look after y-you from above. You need to le-leave.... and your name.... is Naruto uzumaki, don't tell anyone you're a..... Namikaze, I will always prote-ct you. Now, go. Go to the Uchiha Ki-ngdom, new life awaits you. I will be joining your mom now. I'll always love you, we will always love you. Take.... my necklace, remember us Naruto...." With that his Father passed away in his arms.

He cried for a long time. At dawn he woke up in his fathers cold arms, he took the necklace, crying. He payed his respects to the kingdom. To everyone who sacrificed their life to protect the king. He tried his best to bury his father with his little arms. He succeeded but was all dirty, he could care less about that. He just lost everything important to him, now his only hope was his step-mom.

So he went back to the destroyed palace and picked the clothes left out, some which survived the blasts and cement. He couldn't believe that this was his home, a home where he lived with his family. He couldn't believe that his life, where he would be the future king with a loving family, would end up homeless, he had to leave his kingdom and go to another one. He had to leave the kingdom he loved so much.

So the ten year old packed his bags, which were all too heavy for him, and set out to the kingdom of the uchihas.
But before he left he heard the call of a horse.
He went into the stable and was surprised to find the kings horse there, his father's horse was alive.

He saw the open back door and made a conclusion that this horse had escaped maybe on the kings orders.

He decided to take this horse and claim it as his. The name of the horse of black beauty, naruto used to call him beauty. The horse showed affection to Naruto and his father.

So he rode the horse to the uchiha kingdom, to his step-mother's house. He reached in a good three days. He and black beauty only had apples with in the three days of travel.

When he reached and got of the horse a letter slipped from the saddle.
He took it out and read it. It was from his father.

'In case anything happens to me, I have ordered black beauty to run away and return at dawn with this letter.
Naruto if you are reading this it means I am no longer with you. I'll love you forever and more my boy. Stay strong and smile because right now I am with your mother watching over you. Happy. Take care of them son.

Mei, my darling, I'm so sorry it had to come to this. I hoped of a life with you and our three children. Our kingdom was under attack and I shall have passed into another world. I shall leave my Naruto in your care. Take care of him. Please keep the fact that he is a prince, a secret. I also hope that his last name Namikaze is not used. Thank you for doing this for him. Take care darling.

Naruto didn't know what came over him but he neatly tore out the part of the letter that was meant for him. He wanted to treasure it separately, he wanted to keep it with himself forever. Now he had his mother's necklace and his father's letter.

He went and knocked on the house after placing beauty in the stable with some hay and water.

The door was opened by one of the maids.
"Oh my aren't you Naruto? What in heavens name has happened to you, please come in, come in" the maid hurried him inside.
She took him to her mistress.
"Madame, I found him at our door" She bowed.
She hummed, "Leave us" she ordered.

Then she looked up from the paper and at the small boy in front of her. At first she couldn't recognize him.
"Who are you?" She said.
"Naruto, Naruto uzumaki" He whispered.

"Oh my, naruto, what has happened to you. Why do you look like you have been buried and taken out again"

Naruto winced at the word buried, he remembered burying his father not even three days ago.
He broke out in tears and his step-mom looked at him, astonished.
"Stop crying, you will wake the girls" she ordered.

He nodded and stepped forward handing her the letter and tried to stop crying.
But it was hard to control his emotions, he was only ten years and he had been through something no one ever should.

She read the letter and her eyes widened, she started crying herself and the sleepy girls came down to find their mother crying.
"Mother what's wrong?" Said a blond haired girl called ino.
"Did this beggar do something to you" Sakura, a pink haired girl, said eyeing the dirty boy in front of her.

"No my lovelies, he isn't a beggar, he is your step brother, and he hasn't done anything to me" she said trying to control the break in her voice. Naruto was simply looking down.

"You see your lovely father has passed" she continued. The girls gasped.

First sakura turned to the boy, "I apologize for my mistake and I'm sorry for your loss" She bowed.
"I too am sorry for your loss" Ino said bowing.

Mei disliked this. That boy was getting more attention from her own daughters than she was.
"What about me?" she cried and sat in the chair, acting as if she was miserable.
The girls ran to her mother trying to comfort her.
Naruto too made an attempt, but she wouldn't let him.
"It was your fault" She cried. He gasped.
"N-no, I didn't d-do anything" and that was their first conversation where Mei started blaming Naruto for Minato's death.
As the days went by the girls too started believing their mother, they too started despising him.
