Toby Grier; Vampire
Another stupid year of stupid human school.
Why do I attend? Ask my parents.
I hate the humans, their conceitedness and idiocy. If only they knew I chose cutting them from my diet.
I've never had friends. I guess I've always managed to cause jealousy, what with my beauty and intelligence, aka the perks and curse of being a vampire.
I'm a straight A student and a teacher's pet no matter who I end up with, no matter how hard I try not to be. The world, according to every one of my peers, tilts in my direction.
Today I ran to school, a solid six miles. I will not ride the bus with those low life humans. I did not come huffing and puffing, as expected by most, but normal and unruffled in every way. It only took me a few minutes.
I enter the threshold of my new school, head to homeroom. As I do so, I find my name, Toby Grier, and two others written on a blackboard on the far wall, Ashley Mires and Samantha Ryd.
"Ah, if it isn't one of our newbies. Class, this is..." Mr. Lonnier pauses expectantly.
"I'm Toby. Toby Grier."
"Ah, please go stand under your name, Miss Grier." I do as he asks. "Students, say hello."
Most do so halfheartedly, but some get real enthusiastic. They clap me on the hand as I pass, whistle and holler in greeting.
Almost to the blackboard, a guy with gelled hair, one who thinks he's all that, slaps my tailbone. I stop, taken aback, before I cool myself down.
Ah, but not before a lesson. I turn to see if Mr. Lonnier is looking, and he isn't, so I pull on the culprit's ear about hard enough for it to pop off. I lean down to it, and whisper, "I wouldn't do that again, if I were you," and slap his face.
Once I'm under my name, a student walks in.
"And who are you?" Mr. Lonnier asks the girl in a bored voice, and I can't help but feel confused, he was warm and welcoming at my arrival.
The girl rolls her eyes.
"I'm new." She says, sarcastic.
I smile at her. A bad ass. I like it.
But I can't suppress the jealousy that boils over at her remark. I wish I wasn't so dutiful.
"I won't ask again." Mr. Lonnier says in a stern tone.
The girl rolls her eyes again before answering.
"Samantha Ryd. My name is on that stupid board of yours."
"Stand under it as we wait for Miss Mires."
Samantha sighs dramatically as she walks toward the blackboard, toward me. I don't contain the butterflies that dance in my gut as she nears. Even if she is a human, even though she must be bitchy, she's still walking in my direction, to me.
But this part is fishy, the human part, I mean. She doesn't smell...normal.
Students glare at Samantha, which makes her upset.
Luckily, a minute later, another girl enters and all eyes turn to her instead.
"Miss Miers, I presume." Mr. Lonnier says.
"I've been told that's my name. So sure, whatever, I don't really care what you call me as long as I don't have to stand up here talking to you much longer." Mires, or Ashley, states, which cause the class to, "Oooh!"
I wish I had the guts to say that. Why don't I? I'm a freaking vampire! Why can't I disrespect a simple human?
Mr. Lonnier looks at them and they shut up.
"Stand under your name, young lady!" I hold back a giggle.
She can piss off the teacher in only a matter of a few seconds, just like Samantha.
"Samantha, Toby, Ashley, why don't you girls tell us something about yourselves?" Mr. Lonnier suggests.
"Well, I'd like to tell you that...I want to sit down in a seat and get today over with." Ashley rolls her eyes and walks to a seat in the corner of the room.
"Don't piss me off and we'll be just peachy!" Samantha says and walks to the back of the class and sits next to Ashley who smiled at her.
"Uh...I'm gonna go sit..." And I do just that, in the back but a few seats over from the other new girls.
Ashley and Samantha glare at me.
Great. I ruined the one chance I had to make friends with trouble makers. I'm an idiot.
You know what?
No!
I un-scoot the chair from under the desk and stand on top of it, which causes all attention to fall on me.
"Oh, and one more thing. I'm the mother fucking boss, you hear?" I scream.

My first after school detention, here I come!

{Hello, readers!
I am co-writing this piece of work with soulseaker123 and speady_ready .
We each are creating a different POV, soulseaker123 is Ashley Miers, speady_ready is Samantha Ryd, and I, 101_lover_book , am Toby Grier. We hope you come to like this work, dear I say, as much as we do. Yes, we are irresponsible bi*ches, and no, you will never be as cool as us. And don't try. You will fail miserably.
Haha, hope you like this and you should totally go and check out Her Dark Shadow, because...because I told you to.
Bye, readers!
