I blinked in the bright light of the blank room.
My vision was blurry.
I focused on a part of the ceiling as my vision became clear again.
I racked my brain to remember. This was like a new beginning.
I could remember nothing. Who are my parents? Why am I here? Who am I?
Questions circled in my head, as I stared wordlessly at the sun dipping below the dark blue horizon.
From my room, The outside world looked like a painting. Fluffy pink clouds floated across the purple and dark blue sky. I pushed myself up, propping myself up on my elbows, wincing in pain as I lay down again. My back burned, forcing me to stay down.
So, what can I do while I'm in this state? I wondered, staring straight at the ceiling.
I guess after recovering a bit, enough to walk alone, I could seek some help, whatever it was.
Outside, it had began to rain. The pitter patter of raindrops hitting the roof echoed clearly as the colors of night fell upon the outside world like a purple and black veil.
From the inside, each and every is the same.
I wished on a blinking star high above the black silhouette of the trees, that soon I would leave this dreaded white room.
I would escape to the outside world, where humans like me roamed freely. I wished and wished...until I was dragged into the unconsciousness of slumber.
. . . . . . . . . . . .(The spacing isn't even but deal with it)
The light mist of early dust clung to the moist morning air as I awoke from my sleep.
The sky was as clear as ice, tinted with light yellows and oranges as the sun slowly rose from the cloudless morning sky, declaring the beginning of a new day.
It was much early into the morning, as nothing but birds chirping in the sunrise and the cries of the light chilly breeze sounded from the opened window.
I lie wordlessly in my blue bed, admiring the outside world.
It was all so pretty.
I sighed, and re-directed my gaze to the white ceiling boards.
Same old, same old. When would I leave this place?
I attempted to sit up again, not expecting any change in my injury from only one night.
My back had recovered significantly, and I could sit up perfectly fine.
I threw off my blanket and sat at the edge of my bed(yes, I know that injuries don't heal that fast. But I had to make her better, or we'd never move on).
I took a deep breath before standing up on the sturdy floor.
I smiled at my success, though a light wind which blew through the window caught me off guard, knocking a little off balance.
I grabbed the edge of my bed, catching myself before falling onto the floor. I winced, and bit my lip to stop myself from shouting in pain.
After slipping on a pair of shoes, I walked slowly down the silent corridor, watching door by door go by.
Finally, I reached the sun-lit lobby.
