Y/n's POV

Defence Against the Dark Arts class. That's where the time-turner teleported us to, although, of course, through the gaps of time. The teachers were informed of this, that's why we weren't too worried ourselves, but yeah... using the time-turner was a dangerous thing. Anyways, no one cares about that when you land in your most favourite class which is being taught for a first time by your own godfather, right? Remus was currently pointing towards a shabby looking wardrobe, which was rattling involutarily.

"Anyone would like to guess as to what's inside?"

"Just a hunch," I spoke up, raising my hand, "but is it a boggart, perhaps?"

Harry looked at me, frowning his brows in surprise. I gave him an expression saying 'what?'

"That's correct. It is, indeed, a boggart..."

"When did you come here?" Harry asked me, nudging me in the elbows.
"What're you talking about? I've been standing here for ages!" I replied nonchalantly, "I walked in here with all of you together."

"Now who would tell me what a boggart looks like?" Remus dropped off another question, and Hermione answered, raising her hand, which shushed Ron before he could press further, "No one knows. They're shape-shifters. It takes the shape of what one fears the most, which makes them so terrify-"

"So terrifying, right Miss Granger."

"Oi, I remember perfectly well that Y/n and Hermione were not here when we walked in through that door," Ron stated hastily, subtly pointing at the classroom door at the back.

Hermione rolled her eyes, and replied in a shushed voice, "Oh, please. Ron, you barely remember doing your homework, and we're- what? Supposed to believe that you didn't see us coming?"

"They are stupid," I intervened, while Hermione stifled a giggle.

"Hey there! The four of you!" Remus snapped softly, turning our attention to him, "Have you been paying attention to what I'm even saying?"

"Yeah, um, you were talking about a spell to repel the boggart," I replied quickly, trying to salvage the situation in order to not get landed in detention.

"Right. Okay, but no talking in class, hm?"

The four of us nodded. Remus took it as a sign to continue, "Nevermind. So as I was saying, we would practice the spell," he raised his hand, "First, without your wands please. After me, Riddikulus."

"Riddikulus," we repeat after him. The wardrobe rattled again, involuntarily making us flinch in defence.

"Very good. A little louder and clearer, RIDDIKULUS."
The class echoed, "RIDDIKULUS!"

"Very good. Now the incantation alone is not enough strong. What really finishes a boggart is laughter. You need to force it to assume a shape that you find truly amusing. Let me explain, uh Neville? Would you join me please?"

Neville looked around, a little terrified. "Come, on, don't be shy, come on," Remus pressed gently, instructing Neville step forward, and asked him what frightens him the most, which was, by the way, Professor Snape, Neville mumbled. Some students laughed, amused.

"Professor Snape, hm... frightens all. And I believe you live with your Grandmother?"

"Yes," Neville replied, but quickly added, "but I don't want the boggart to turn into her either."

"No, it won't," Remus shook his head, while the wardrobe shook again, "it won't. I only want you to picture her clothes, only her clothes, very clearly in your mind."

Neville began explaining what she wears and carries, and Remus cut him off saying he need only imagine, not explain. "When I open the wardrobe," Remus stepped forward towards Neville, excusing some students, "here's what I want you to do," he leaned in to his ear, and whispered something inaudible. "Can you do it?" he asked, his tone rather amused. Now, I think he definitely told something funny.
