★ Sunday morning

Harry's POV

A large crowd was gathered in the courtyard round the fountain to submit the letters. I waited patiently, tapping my foot constantly on the ground.

"You're so impatient," Y/n whispered into my ear.

I turned and rolled my eyes, instantly stopping the tapping, "Yeah? Tell me about it."

She giggled, "I think you should rather pay attention to Professor McGonagall y'know," after having saying it, she pointed.

"Now remember these visits to Hogsmeade village are a privilege. Should your behaviour reflect poorly on school in any way, this privilege shall not be extended again." Y/n gave me a push from the back, as I stumbled a little but approached her.

"I wanted to know if you could sign my lett—" but she cut me off snapping at me, "I can't. Only a parent or guardian can. Since I'm neither, it would be inappropriate."

I bit my lip in annoyance. She turned around, collecting all the letters, not soon before walking back to me, "Sorry Potter. But that's my final word."

I sighed, giving her a nod. After that, she walked away, bringing Hermione and Ron in my sight. They gave me a disappointed yet sympathetic nod.

"Forget about it guys. Just... go and enjoy," I give them a small smile, crumpling the letter in my hand, and shoving my hands into my pockets. I turned back around to get inside, while I heard slow receding steps.

"Hey, Harry!" Y/n's voice stops me, "you have me, you know? I'm not a lurking ghost around here."

"Haha. Very funny," I let out a mock-sarcastic laugh.

She exhaled deeply, "I know you're upset. Let's try and talk a walk around the castle, hm?" She grabbed my hand, and tugged me towards her direction.

And here we were, strolling around, talking, laughing, you name it. I introduced her to some new areas around Hogwarts, like the bridge.

She gasped, "Woah."

"Fascinating, huh?"

"It's so high up."

"What? Are you scared of heights?"

"Wha-" she shot me a look saying 'You're being ridiculous', before she spoke up, "I'm not acrophobic."

"Yeah, I know, you're not scared of spiders, I asked if- Ow," I rubbed my arm, "why did you hit me?"

"Do you have hearing problems or what? I said Acrophobic, not arachnophobic."

A look of realisation dawned upon me. How could I have been this stupid? "Yeah, okay. Homophones. You can't blame me."

"Oh, so we're having English class now? What- are we in a muggle school?"

I gave her a dead glare, before the both of us burst laughing.

"Hey, look." Y/n pointed.

I squinted my eyes to see Professor Lupin.

"Come on. You said you wanted to talk."

"About—? Oh yeah."

I followed her, slowly treading on the hanging bridge.

"Hey, Remus."

"Oh," he turned his head towards us, "Y/n. Hello Harry," he greeted.

The awkward tension grew. I wondered why I had come here for in the first place- Right, ah. The boggart thing.
