"So what are your mediated values?" Jason asks me.
It's been two days since the last time I've seen Grayson and I kind of miss him. I really hope he didn't regret what we did. I really liked it. I liked the way he made me feel. I'm getting butterflies just thinking about him.
Jason and I are at the student center on campus working on our English project. It's not due til two weeks from now but I like to be ahead.
"Books. They're my safe place." I reply to which he writes it down in his notes. Jason's mediated values is music because he likes the way it makes him feel and that it can help express his emotions depending on the genre of music he's listening too. I like music too, but books is where it's at. Duh!
"So..." Jason says out of the blue while I'm writing everything down. I look up to give him my full attention.
"Are you down to go to that club I was telling you about tonight?"
Oh! I definitely can now. Mrs. Fane has a granddaughter about Milos age who likes to play with him sometimes so Mrs. Fane invited Milo to have a play date with the little girl. I think it's cute. Which means I have tonight to myself. I mentally fist bump the air.
"Did you just fist bump the sky?" Jason looks at me confused but with humor in his eyes.
Wait did I actually fist bump the air?
I look up to see that my hand is quite literally in the air.
Oh gosh.
I drop my hand down and laugh. "I did, I guess. And to answer your question, yes I will go." A big smile takes over his face and his eyes gleam so bright. I smile at the thought of making him happy.
We're now leaving the student center and I'm heading towards the library with Jason walking next to me.
"So what's the place called? They got good music?" I ask as I play with the hem of my dress. It's still somewhat warm in New York so I'm taking advantage of the nice weather. It's still a bit chilly so I paired my white skirt and white crop top with a light pink sweater. Pretty cute.
"Yes they have good music," he chuckles, "and the place is called Sunset." Oh. What a nice name. I love sunsets. Watching the sun go to sleep as the darkness of the sky takes over and the stars appear moments later in addition to the moon to glisten the lightless sky.
"I love that name and I will definitely be there. Just send me the details later." He gives me a nod and I give him a thumbs up. We continue walking when he stops me like he just thought of something.
"Wait do you have a fake?"
A what?
"Uh..." I'm so confused right now.
"So I'll take that as a no. No worries, I'll get you one." He chuckles with a wink.
Okay. I still don't know what a fake is but I guess...oh.
"Wait like a fake ID?" Isn't that illegal?
He laughs at me, "Yes Amelia, a fake ID." He starts walking backward to leave. "I'll see you tonight!" He yells out before leaving.
Okay.
I turn around to continue walking when I bump into what felt like a brick wall.
This always happens to me.
I stumble backward and flutter my eyes up and my heart skips a beat. Grayson is right in front of me, but with a sour look on his face. Uh...what the heck? He's not looking at me though, he's looking behind me. I turn around to see what he's looking at to see that Jason is still in view.
