Beth.

Okay, I’ve lost Mia, I’m stuck in a sea full of sweaty people, I haven’t found myself a boy and I’m drunk. This night has turned to shit.

I wanted to get out of this place but of course, we never left parties without each other. I’m just that good of a friend, so I need to suck it up.

I pressed the tip of the drink on my lips, chucked the bottom of the bottle into the air and let the liquid fall down my throat. I stumbled my way out of the dance floor and walked to the bar, “Another beer thanks.” I told the bartender. He scurried off into the mystical place with glass and alcohol and returned with my drink.

I grabbed its base and fumbled with the lid, “Playing hard to get eh?” I mumbled while trying to turn the cap. I quickly grabbed a napkin, placed it around the lid and twisted it once again. It wasn’t working, “This is like a fucking jigsaw puzzle.” I muttered as the bartender stared at me.

“Yes, turning the bottle cap is exactly like a jigsaw puzzle.” I looked up to the sarcastic asshole while still turning the lid, “Idiot drunk.”

“Listen prick—” I growled as I felt a sharp sting pulse through my thumb. “Fuck!” I looked down and saw blood trickle down my hand and along my wrist. Stupid bottle caps. I grabbed the napkin and placed it over my thumb forcefully, trying to stop the blood from running and ruining my already shitty night. I looked to the bartender and sent him a chilling smile, “Thanks for your help, but I’m fine.”

I got up from my chair and decided to call Mia. I fumbled through my purse and picked up numerous things, but then I came across something much more valuable. The VIP tickets.

Holy mother of god, how did I forget about these bad boys? There’s bound to be hot people in there. I was grinning like an idiot as I walked towards the numerous doors, they all had different labels.

Men’s restroom; Female restroom; Basement; VIP area.

And bingo was him name-o.

I open the door and peered my head through the crack—it was pitch black and empty. Just when I thought my night could get better, I was wrong. “Are you fucking kidding me?”

“No I’m Toby, the guard.” I jumped and realized a very tall man was walking towards me from inside the room, “Do you have the VIP card?”

“Do you have the VIP smile?” I grinned as his expression still lacked amusement. Eh, I tried. I handed him the card and he nodded.

“Right this way.”

I thanked Toby and walked down the dimly lit hall. I wondered what the VIP room was like. I hope it has a hot tub, or maybe it’s those one on one rooms with strippers inside. That’d be awesome! Maybe they’d let me have a go on the poll or even show me some moves! But what kind of costume would they give me? I’ve always wanted to be one of those sexy nurses.

Eventually, the sound of loud music pulled me out of my stripper thoughts. I could smell the strong scent of nicotine and I knew I was close. They don’t let people smoke inside clubs, whereas in the VIP area, it’s a different story.

I walked through he beaded door and to my disappointment, there were no strippers. What’s the point of being here now? I might as well leave. I was about to walk out of this place and head to a strip club, but someone called out to me, “Oi girl.” I looked to the right and saw a group of boys and one girl sitting a hot tub; well at least they’ve got one thing right. “Are you coming in?”

I didn’t have bathers, but that never stopped me before.

I lifted my head, nodding casually while stripping down into my underwear. I thanked the lord I wore my lacy ones.
