10: road trip.

"Maddie!" Wanda yells. "Yuhuh." I say grabbing my suitcase and back pack. "Come on." She said as we loaded up buckys new black truck. Shiny!!! I lay the bags in them close the trunk putting the lid looking thingy over. I stand on it looking up. It's real cold. Oh just wait till we get to Virginia. I'm wearing a white crew neck,black thick leggings,light brown fuzzy socks, same color knitted beanie. Don't forget my brown UGG boots. And a braid in my hair.... "Why are you standing on the truck?" Steve asked smiling. "Just...feels nice." I say looking around. "She's gone crazy." Sam jokes. " Silencio." I say muting Sam. He try's to tell but can't. "Don't turn him back." Bucky says. I then wave my finger letting him talk. I giggle a bit. "Let's get down." Bucky said helping me down. "Alright... y'all are coming back next week." Tony said smiling. "Got it!" Bucky says getting into the drivers seat. "I wanna drive." I say. "No." He says as I cross my arms. "Still no." He said. I let him win and get into the passenger seat. "Byeee!" They say as we start driving. I wrap myself in a blanket looking out the window. "You seem happy." He said. "When I joined the avengers. Not that I wasn't happy before. Just...I feel alive." I say smiling. I look at him smiling. "Can I have the aux?" I ask. "Have at it." He said as I played my favorite song. "What's this song?" He asked. "Freaks by surf curse. My favorite song." I say smiling. "Don't kill me...just help me run away." I sing softly looking out the window. He looks over at me. "You have a beautiful voice." He says I smiling looking down. "So your family..." he says. "Yep that's a story." I say laughing. "So basically my dad. His brother died 13 years ago aswell. Saving life's. Vampire aswell. It was hard on all of us. My sister stefanie. Named after Stefan." I say as he smiles. "My moms best friends are a witch and a vampire too. Lots of super naturals." I joke smiling. "20 minutes away." He says looking at the map. I smile looking out the window. "Mystic grill. My hangout growing up." I say smiling staring at it. I smile as we pull into the Salvatore mansion. "You never told me you were rich." He said. "My dad is 182. He's had lots of Opportunity to make money. And my mom is a doctor." I say. "I heard your dad is human now." He says as I look down. "Yeah that didn't last long. He...uh...saved Hope. But got himself killed. But we learned he drank vamp blood before he died. He knew that was gonna happen." I say. "My mom is human. Though. And Stef is normal." I say smiling as we get out of the truck. I knock on the door. I bounce a bit smiling. So happy so nervous. "Maddie!" Mom says hugging me. "This must be your boyfriend." Mom says smiling. "Mom this is Bucky. Bucky this is my mom." I said as they shook hands. "Mrs Salvatore." He said. "Call me Elena. Mrs Salvatore makes me feel old." Mom says. I mean she hasn't aged since she was 23. At least her looks say that. "Where's dad?" I asked. "He is out with the gang getting party stuff." Mom says. "Knew it." I told Bucky then mom laughs. "Look fancy." Mom says smiling as we got our bags and walked in. "I'll be right back...just put these in my old room." I say as we walked upstairs. My room is mostly how I left it. Bed still made. It's my uncle stefans old room. But I painted the walls white. "Nice room." He says as I lay my bag on my bed. We walk back down stairs. "Freya and Rebecca can't come." I say reading my text. "Why not?" Mom asked. "New Orleans issue." I say. "Your old friends are coming. And my gang." Mom said. "From mystic falls high school." Mom said. "I thought you went to the Salvatore school." Bucky said. "Up till 7th grade. 8th I went to normal school. Loved it. I was cheer captain." I said smiling. "What was Maddie like growing up?" Bucky asked. "She was funny,so smart,athletic,empathetic,but had the smarts from both Damon and klaus." Mom said. "But had the fight from them aswell. She took shit from no one." Mom said. Bucky smiled. "Go shopping. Your father should be here soon.and he wants you to think this party is a surprise so go get something to wear." Mom said as we left. I don't buy anything. I'm just gonna wear what I wore to the press conference. Bucky had a suit. So instead of going shopping, we go to the dock I would trim on with my dad. "What's this?@ he asked. "Part of my backyard. I would train here with my dad every morning. Using our super natural abilities." I say. "Most with bow staffs." I say. "Now come on old man." I say pushing him back. "Maddie I'm 106,and a super soldier." He said. "I have a metal arm aswell. I don't wanna hurt you." He says. "I'm a tribrid,I heal quickly." I say smiling. "Ok fine. I won't use my witch powers. Only pure fighting." I say. "Maddie I said." He said as I flip him on the ground. We then start fighting fidgeting punches. I flip him on his back kneeling over him. "Wow." He said. I kiss him then he'll him up. "We should get back and ready." He says as we head back.
