12: bonding...or showdown

I walk down to see my dad reading in his study. "Hey old man." I say. "Shouldn't you be asleep?" He asked. "It's 2 am. And I'm 19 remember?" I ask smiling. "Bucky told me what you did to him." I said crossing my arms having a blank expression. He puts his book down and sits up. I walk towards him. I stare at him with a glare 1 foot in front of him. My dad gives my the same look. We did this lots when I was a teen. I smile showing I was kidding. "You think he's great for me?" I ask as he scoffs looking away for a sec. "thank dad." I say smiling. "I-I do. But I will kill him if necessary." He warns. "Let's hope that doesn't come to that." I say. "Ahh! Your no fun." He says as I hug him. "Also we're doing research on this urn and knife. And me and mom talked. You Bonnie and buck will research together.and mom Caroline and I will." I say. "Don't kill him." I say walking out before he says no.
Next morning
I'm dressed in a t shirt and jeans. I walk down stairs to see everyone. "Good morning!" I say sarcastically. "Your to awake." Caroline says. We head to the study and research.  "Ik." I say  Coughing from dust. "Bucky what's your last name. God you look familiar." Dad said as Bucky looked nervous. "Barnes." He said as dad looked up. "James Barnes." Dad said. Um what!!!? "YeH...how did you.." Bucky said as Damon held him to the wall. "Stay away from Madison." He warns. "Woah!" Caroline Bonnie and mom said. "Get off of him!" I scream throwing dad. "Bucky run!" Mom says as he takes off. "What the actual hell os wrong with you!?" I scream as mom sees my tribrid eyes. "Your dating a killer mads." Dad said getting up. "He's fine!! We went to wakanda to be saved!" I yell. "He's still a killer from hydra! Madison your dating a killer!" He yelled. "So did mom!! She dated you!! My mom dated my dad! So don't go calling me out!" I say. "He's not your father Maddie!" Dad said as the room went silent. I start to cry. "Maddie i-" he said. "NO! Stay away from me!!!!" I scream camping away. "What the hell!" Mom yells at dad.
I run down to the old cell prison looking area and sit against the wall sobbing. I start to pull on my hair. "Maddie." I hear. "Go away!" I scream. "Your just like your mother. Elena." I hear as I look at Caroline and Bonnie. I stay silent glaring at them. "I don't know what's with Damon. Elena is chewing him out right now. He didn't mean it. But that's no Excuse." Bonnie says. "He's Damon. He will come around. I don't know what's with him and Bucky. Elena will figure it out." Caroline said sitting next to me. "I think Bucky is great." Caroline adds. "He will come around." Bonnie said. "I know...just mad." I say. "I miss my father and mother. Just putting salt in a deep wound." I say. "Yep. I knew klaus. He was evil at first. But he became soft ish. Cared about family. All of them did." Caroline said. "His soft spot was his family. You especially. If you wanted anything. He'd drop everything to give you it." Bonnie said. "It's true." Mom said walking in. "Here." Mom said handing me a box. "Before he died he wrote a letter to you. And things in this box for you. I was instructed to give it to you when I felt right. I kinda forgot about it." Mom said as I opened it. I pull the letter.
"Dear Madison,
If your read thing this Elena thought you needed it. I'm sorry for everything I did. You were my sole purpose of living. I made the sacrifice to help you and hope. You are a strong,Gorgeous,loving,powerful young women. I have no doubt you will do great things. I will always look over you. So will your mother. Damon and Elena will help you succeed in life. If you get married. Make sure it's not a normal dude. You are much better. I love you Madison Camille Mikaelson.  Always and forever.

I start to tear up. "Thanks." I say. "Now come see your boyfriend stick it to your father." Mom said. "What?!" I say. "Shh. He's about to do it and I want you to see it." Mom said as we ran up to watch.
Buckys POV
I take a deep breath and walk in to see Damon. "What?" He says snarky. "I may have-" I say as he cuts me off. "I-" he says but I cut him off . "No listen! I may have screwed up for 70 years. But it wasn't my choice. You did and it was your choice. So don't judge me for what I did. Cause I haven't done the Same to you! Madison is the love of my life. I love her with everything. I don't think i deserve her! But the fact you said klaus and Hayley weren't her parents is bull shit.they were the first 7 years of her life. She loves them. And y'all. Talks to highly of you. So yeah I may have screwed up long ago. But don't think I'll hurt her. And you don't hurt her either. I'm not afraid of you." I say as he gets up walking to me. I keep my straight face. "Your not afraid of me" he says glaring at me. "Why would I?" I asked tempting faith. He steps back. "I'm impressed." He said. "Sit." He said as I did so. "Madison is my daughter. And the mikaelsons. I protect her with my life. And anyone who knows her does. I'm sorry for that. I didn't mean the other part aswell. Madison is sensitive and I don't wanna see her hurt. But the fact you stood up to me proves you are for her." He says. I then see Maddie walk in. "Maddie." We say. "I heard all of that." She says crossing her arms. "Can I talk to my dad?" She asked as I left
Maddies POV
I walk up to my dad. "Maddie." He says. "I know your sorry and didn't mean it. But it still hurt." I say. "And seeing how Bucky stood up to you shows he's right for me. He stood up for me." I say. "And I know you want to protect me. But I'm an adult." I say. "Let me live." I say. "Maddie!" He yells. "I know. I'm sorry." He said. I hug him tight. I then stab his arm. "I deserved that." He says pulling it out. "We good?" He asked. "Yeah. Stabbing you helped." I say hugging him again. "Happy family." Mom said walking in. "Until one of you two screws up." Bonnie said as I laughed. I run to Bucky and hug him. "He's the one."
Mom tells dad. "Yep." He says smiling. "Can we leave a bit early? I wanna visit my dad." I ask Bucky. "Maddie you know he's dead right?" Bucky asked. "Yes! I wanna visit his grave." I said. "Is that ok?" Bucky asked my parents. "Yes." Mom said. "You better visit more often!" Caroline says
