31.We get back and I told everyone to go home...Maddie doesnt need everyone here. Hope begged to stay...But I told her when maddie wakes up and isnt a loose cannon...I'll let them go out to eat. Till then the team is watching her 24/7. I lay in her bed waiting for her to wake up. I lay back so stressed about this. I just lost my baby. My girlfriend is suffering. I am too, but I can't show it. I have to be there for her. "Steve wants you. I'll watch her." Nat says walking in. "you can always talk to me. This sucks. I'm sorry." She said resting her arm on my shoulder. I look up and just walk out. She knows I was thankful. Just I get like this when I'm mad frusterated or thinking. "Where is he?" I ask before leaving the room. "They are in the meeting room. 20th floor one." She enunciated they as I walked off. I walk in to see Tony,Sam,Clint,Steve,Nick,Thor, and Rhodey. "What?" i ask moody. "Buck were worried about you." Steve says as I cross my arms. "Why?" i ask leaning on the doorway. "Maybe because you just lost your baby. Your girlfriend is unconscious. Also she tried to turn her humanity off." Tony listed as I rolled my eyes. "Thanks for the reminder." I said in a threatening way. "Bucky be serious for a sec. Were worried about you and Maddie." Sam said. "I am. Also worry all you want. You cant fix that We Lo-!" I yell not being able to say it outloud. "Screw this." I say storming out. I storm into my room across from maddies and sit against my bed baryring my face in my hands. "AHHH!" I yell throwing a book into the wall as it is now stuck in the wall. "Buck." i hear. "Go away." I warn. "No." The voice challenges. I look up to see steve leaning on my doorfram. He closes the door walking up to me. He picks up a picture from my dreasser of Maddie and I from christmas. Then one of us in new orleans. Then Steve and I going to hydras base to find the 5 other supper soldiers were killed. We took a selfie on the jet. "You two are cute." Steve says smiling. I ignore him. "Bucky." He says sliding next to me. I have a tear slide down my face. I cry but keeping wiping my tears away. "We were finally excited about having our baby. I wanted to be a father in those moments so bad." I say as he puts his arm around me. "Maddie did too." I say. "Wanted to be a dad?" Steve teased making me laugh. "A mom." I correct myself. "Now she doesnt even wanna have humanity." I say. "She wont turn it off. When she wakes up I made a deal with Rebekah." He said as I looked up. "They want her not to be around many people. It will agrivate her. She stays here. But need to keep them informed. And Basically have our eyes on her at all times. Her father said only other time she was like this was when her dad died and he bestfriend. She first didnt talk to anyone and didnt speak. Then constantly was working out still not speaking. Slowly would start speaking. But takes time. SHe also is very distant." Steve told me. "How long?" I asked nervous. "For her parents it was a year. Her best friend 2 monthes. After the monthes she still felt grief but could handle it more and better and healthier. For her parents people constantly were eyeing her waitng for her to snap. Always asking how sh felt and stuff whih didnt help." Steve told me. "She's awake." NAt said as I jogged to her room.
I walk in to seeher scrolling through tiktok. I'm cautios about what I say. "Morning." I say smiling. She looks over and continues scrolling. She finally gets up and walks over to her mirror. She holds up her hoddie revealing the bullet scar. She runs her finger along it and back up it. She takes a deep breath trying to not to cry. I walk over placing my hand on her shoulder. SHe looks me in the eye. Those eyes hold so much pain. Her dark brown eyes said it all. Filled with tears aswell. She crys into my shoulder and I hug her tightly. "Shhhh." I say rubbing her back. "My baby." She whispers crying into my shoulder. "I know." I say trying not to cry myself. "Why though? Why us. Why did I loose my baby?" She questions crying. "Hey hey." I say sitting her on her bed. "It wasn't meant to be." She says. "Hey. This...This isnt ideal. But we were meant to be parents. Things happen for a reason. You dont always know the reason though." I say hugging her as myself starts to cry. She nodds asI hug her tightly. "We will get through this." I tell her...and myself. She looks up snifflin and nodds. "Why did hydra want me?" she asked me. "I dont know." I say. "Were gonna figure it out. S.H.I.E.L.D. knows and this is there number one priority." I tell her. "Its gonna be on the news huh?" She asked. Shes to smart. "Yeah...." I say. "It was gonna come out anytime." She tells me. "um...Guys?" Clint says walking in. "um...we need you." He says worrying us. We get up and walk out.
Maddies pov
We march into the living room to see Stark has one of his click a button a screen appears gadget out. "You need to see this." Tony says playing the clip.

Since when was she pregnant?" I listen to all the clips. "Turn it off." I warn closing my eyes. "I said Turn IT OFF!" I yell as the screen shatters into many tiny pieces. I take a deep breath and look at bucky. "Your ok."He tells my pulling me to his chest. "See you guys have seen it." A voice says appearing from the shadows. Along with Coulson and Maria Hill.
"Word travels." Nick said appearing. "We found out why they wanted you." Nick says as Wanda sits up. "First born Tribrid. They want you to be the next..." "the next me." Bucky finishes. "We won't let that happen." Tony says. "No..." Steve says glaring at Tony. "We also have news that Hydra has involved your family Madison." Maria says as I look up. "There also after hope." She added as my heart stopped. I swear it stopped. "AND YOU DIDNT TELL ME!?" I yell as Bucky holds me closer to him. "MY SISTER HYDRA SCREWED WITH!!!???" I scream. "Ok...just need to get to her..." I say pacing. "Im going up there." I say not needing an answer. "No." Steve says standing infront of me. "Ok Mr America. Move out of my way or I will turn you into ashes." I say smiling. "Were coming with you." Nat says. "Hydra wants the most powerful people in the world. Thats your family." Nick tells us. "Get ready." I say pushing steve aside.
Buckys POV
I get into my room and throw a lamp into the wall creating glass shards everywhere. Nat rushes in. "Check interior designer off your job list." SHe says looking at my destroyed room. She looks at a couple picture frames scattered along my dresser. Some of me before hydra. Most of me with Maddie. Also hope Maddie and I laying in the snow. "Whats wrong?" She asked laying down the frames. "MY BABY!" I yell throwing a knife at Natasha as she catches it. "Sorry." I say sitting at the foot of ym bed holding my head. "Is dead..." I say starting to cry. Which catches Natasha off guard. "JAmes." She says rubbing my back. "I wasfinally happy. After decades of being miserable." I say as steve walks in. "Its ok buck." He says. "I'm worried about Maddie." I spit out. "We all are." Nat responds. "I dont know what to do though. She's been through alot." I say. "Good news is hope is safe. I think she needs alone time." steve tells me. "Both of you...Go to New orleans. Then to Mystic falls. Go be with her family." Nat says as I agree. "I'll pack for you...Go talk to Maddie." Steve says as I get up.
MADDIESPOV
I've just got the news hope's ok. They have guards and everything. "Maddie." Bucky says walking in. "hi." I say smirking trying to smile. He sits next to me at the edge of my bed pulling me to hi shoulder...the metal one. The cold metal feels great. "Were gonna go to New Orleans...then Mystic falls." He tells me. I nod agreeing. "I have to deal with the pack aswell." I say. "Everything is gonna be ok." He tells me. "Eventually." I say. "Are you ok? Ive been so....so I haven't checked on you." I say feeling guilty. "I'm no worse then you...I'm hurt by this. But I also know I can't dwell on it forever." He says making valid points. "Get packing." He kisses me on the cheek and leaves. I laugh going to get changed. I take off my hoodie revealing the bullet scar on my side. I look at it in the miror and freeze. The scar showing the loss of my baby...my baby boy.
