〰︎♡〰︎♡〰︎♡〰︎As they walked through the grass towards the truck, she felt the drowsiness wash over her and she knew her body was exhausted. From all the crying, fighting.. drowning.
Her starry eyes eventually closed, resting her head on his chest, as they finally reached the truck.
He looked down at the young girl in awe. No matter what kind of problems he had with his dad that made him feel unworthy, he always muted the voices in his head with something, that something usually being coke. The drug made him relax but also feel like he could do anything and everything. He couldn't imagine going through what the girl in his arms was going through with nothing to surrender to. Yes she had consumed lots of liquor to numb the pain, but she was beyond strong nonetheless, and he realized that.
Although, Calla definitely didn't feel that way. She felt little and weak. Like anyone and everyone was above her. And everyone thought this way of her too, only because they had never come close to going through the pain she had endured in those couple months, in their entire lives.
Rafe carefully opened the truck door, keeping Calla in his arms and placing her in the passenger seat. He had seen her in this state way too much recently, unconsciousness and sad, which broke his heart.
He sighed, reaching across her body buckling her in, as Callas head fell to her shoulder. Before shutting the door he caught a glimpse of her battered face making his lip poke outward. He gently cupped her face, rubbing his thumb across her cheek, feeling the blood that was dried onto her soft skin. He finally pulled his hand from her face, shaking off all of his vulnerable thoughts, and quietly shut the trucks door.
He pulled out of the houses driveway where the party being held, people still entering while the music blared inside.

When Callas eyes slid open, she was greeted to a green light outside of the windshield of the car she was sitting in. She quickly turned to see who she was with since everything before was still kind of hazy because of the lingering fatigued trance she was still in. She turned to see Rafe and sighed in relief.
"You doing ok?" He questioned, noticing she was now awake.
"This isn't the way home?" Calla stated, ignoring his question, adjusting in her seat with squinted eyes, observing their surroundings.
"We're going to my place." He insisted, seeing the hesitance wash over her features.
She knew she should've vetoed the idea, but the exhaustion was still poking at her eyes, along with the fact that she couldn't think long enough about where she was gonna go without obtaining a headache.
"Fine," she huffed, laying her head against the seat again.
It was quite silent the rest of the ride because of the pain that she was starting to feel due to the alcohol wearing off.

When they pulled up to the Cameron residence she opened the door and slid out until her feet touched the ground. She stumbled a bit until Rafe gripped her hips and helped her maintain her balance.
"Thanks," she said while giving him a weak smile.
He helped her into the house and up the stairs until they reached the bathroom.
